Governor Piyush "Bobby" Jindal did something similar to this when he took the 1/2 $billion dollar fund in the State Employee's Group Insurance Fund to cover the deficit in Louisiana state government. This was money put aside from employee contributions as our ''rainy day fund''. Turned us over to a private company and kept our money.

Hoping this ends up better than the last time we cut off an Asian nation (Japan) from their oil supply. Before that war was over most of Asia and Europe were under murderous communist domination by China and Russia. Then we got worn down in Korea and defeated in Vietnam. Would Japan and Germany have been worse than Russia and China? That was $40 TRILLION ago.

Does anyone think we in the USA can muster the will (or money) to see a long and expensive war to the end. Our young people are NOT going to be forced into the military like they were in 1940.

Heck even in the 1960s and 1970s they were shooting their officers disabling their ships and rioting in the streets.

Is Islam less Christian than Mormonism, Jehovah Witnesses, Roman Catholics? There is hardly a religion less bloody than the 2000 years of Roman Catholicism and its lineal descendants. Something went seriously awry when Christianity and the Roman government and the Sun God religion joined forces.

At least Islam does respect the prophets and believes Jesus is the Messiah.

I think I will go with Jesus. He never claimed to be God.

Jesus never claimed to be God. He was constantly referring to God as My Father and praying to His Father. The council of Nicaea got that story going. That council made the Roman Church the enforcement arm of the Roman Empire. Later on the ''protestants'' fell right in with the story and John Calvin had the renowned scholar and physician Michael Servetus burned alive in Geneva. Seems that it was all over the question of whether Jesus was the son of the everlasting God or the everlasting son of God. Those who wish to follow Jesus would do well to ignore the books attributed to Paul and the forgery that is 2nd Peter. Paul, just like any perjurer in court will mostly tell the little truths to cover the big lie.

At Gettysburg in October of 23 my bride and I got on a tour bus and psycho looking woman probably close to 300 on the hoof and odd colored hair got on the bus and took up a pair of seats right behind us with a pit bull cross. Said it was her service dog for mobility and psychological issues. I'm not sure which one of them was nuzzling my elbow.

This past September we stayed at an inn in Cuchara Colorado, the restaurant next door was called the Dog Br and Grill. Every table had a dog or several dogs except ours.

I don't quite understand taking dogs while travelling.

I get the distinct idea that we have otherwise fairly intelligent people that believe DST actually adds an hour of daylight to the day.

Folks, you are getting up and going about your scheduled duties 1 hour earlier and coming home or whatever 1 hour earlier. Please tell me that I am mistaken and everybody knows this.
