This is kind of where I sit on it, too. I'm still not convinced it's a great solution, but sometimes there just aren't great solutions.

I would prioritize M-F couples over same sex couples. Which I think is both the more meritorious argument and probably controversial.

That may actually occur already, IDK.

ACtually the first marriage laws were based in racism. Society at the time didn't want the races mixing, especially black and white.

Really? Did you do any research on his VP pick prior to the election? Pence despises gay people, at least his voting record on gay issues suggests that.

Pence was there for one reason: to get the conservative vote because Trump is not a conservative and is typically liberal on social issues.

It is unlikely that he has much say on most things.

Trump has been historically very pro-LGBT...Q.

I would be extremely surprised if this is a super conservative EO. Really surprised. And saddened.

How is this relevant to my position?

Why do you give a frick about what someone else does that doesn't adversely affect them or anyone? Quite the opposite, you're opposed to something that makes other people happy. That's gross.

Didn't think you'd admit it, but you just conceded it's bad, just cause, no real reason.

Yeah, Foster kids are the only major group in society that is more likely to end up in prison than never going to prison. I think like 70% of them go to prison at least once.

I can't believe that's true, for one it would be blatantly unconstitutional, for another it'd be politically moronic- a pro LGBT EO could fracture or weaken the opposition what you're showing would be another step to losing the entire Pacific Coast to secession.

It will be in favor of the LGBT community and then they will raise their rainbows and thank Trump for saving them from the gay killing muslim terrorists.

If that's true, Trump deserves the backlash then.

Can't think of anything more self inflicted than that and clear sign that Pence has too much say in social policy like this.

Absolutely correct. I think the other poster was referring to societies in general, but I was talking about here int he U.S. so your point is more relevant. The laws were based in sinful desires. It should be no shock to anyone that the laws were then used as a vessel for sinful desires.

Yes, I am sure @lgbtqnation has deep connections with the Trump WH that they would have extensive access to an EO.

Rarely agree with you, but you have to be right here. Except the secession part. They are just as dumb as my fellow texans.

No good can come from what that tweet said.

I agree an EO like that would be beyond idiotic and I'd more than likely not do some protesting over it.

That being given said

Pacific Coast to secession.

Is a just beyond dumb statement.

This is exactly what I'm thinking. I think Trump will frame it as being pro-gay, unlike Islam
