While a bunch of English players took a knee to virtue signal to the world they oppose racism and intolerance, the US players stood and watched.

They also all stood for the anthem, hand over heart, and sang.

They’re very respectful and polite. They are so much easier to like than the America hating frick you shrews of the wimenz team.

This United States Men’s National Team deserves your support.

I don't even understand at this point.

Does this mean they are okay with other bad things like kicking puppies?

Let's not gloss over the fact that Team USA changed their red, white & blue logo to feature the rainbow flag. Don't pretend these guys are massive patriots.

Did the players have a choice in the logo change? They did have a choice in kneeling or standing and they stood.

The uniforms do not have the rainbow logo.

The problem is players from many countries being used as pawns. Players just want to play period. But if they don’t tow the company line they can’t play. Like the rainbow shite, I bet our players hate that stuff but if they protest it the US Soccer nazi’s in charge won’t let them play.

I bet England was told by their federation they had to kneel. If they don’t then that game is their last. If all of them refused then fine, can’t replace whole team once selected. But then would face sanctions back home afterwards.

Its BS these federations force it.

Now the US Women, they actually enjoyed it so F them

Oh no! Not a practice t-shirt supplied by Nike that was just handed to players at a practice facility.

After all, it is so meaningless that we should decide not to support the players who just put on the clothing that they are handed.

To be fair, it is soccer.

No one changes the logo. Some signs at the US practice facility, and one training shirt, had the rainbow stripes in the crest.

That is it.

That's what I read, and I looked at the pic expecting to see that. But all I see are red stripes. Did they not end up doing the rainbow stripes?

This has been covered many times but the lead up to actual games they had it dispayed in practice and around US WC camp. Correct on games but not correct prior to games.

They didn’t do that, I think, and whatever the case the players don’t make the logo.

The absolutely and total horror. Not a sign at the practice facility that no one would have ever seen if not for the faux-outrage over it!!!?!?!? Think of humanity!

I don't know how you or anyone else have recovered.

On Monday, the U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT) unveiled a rainbow-colored logo that it will display at its training facilities as a way to show Qatar — and the rest of the world — that the team “believes in inclusivity,” goalkeeper Sean Johnson said at a news conference, according to Sports Illustrated.

“We’ve tried to continue to have discussions as we lead into the games,” he said. “I think we’ve leaned on the message of ‘Be the Change,’” he added, referring to a social awareness initiative created in 2020 after the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

“That’s something that we’ve been really proud of and obviously continue to work towards being impactful with ourselves, with our presence, with our platform, and we’ll continue to do so here in Qatar,” he said.

The rainbow-colored design, which the team doesn’t plan on wearing on uniforms during the matches, features seven colored lines to represent inclusion and acceptance. The team has used it in the past.

Gloss over it till your heart's content. You do you, baw. Your fandom for Team USA in the World Cup doesn't change the fact that the TEAM is all in on deliberate virtue signaling because the WC is being held in a predominantly-Muslim country.

A poster at the practice facility because Nike and USSF decided to put it up

Imagine the stupidity required to believe that the players themselves are spearheading something like that. No shite they just went along with it. It is totally meaningless.

The only people giving it attention are the people such as those here that give it attention. It is totally meaningless in reality.

You're being deliberately obtuse, because I refuse to believe you're legit illiterate.

Dude's speaking for the entire team.
