These are the same misogynistic Hollywood degenerates who have lectured middle America ad nauseam on how to treat women.

Emile Hirsch Brutally Assaulted a Female Film Executive. He’s Now Starring in the New Tarantino Film.
On the night of January 25, 2015, Emile Hirsch settled into a VIP booth at Tao, a pop-up nightclub situated at the base of Main Street in the mountains of Park City, Utah. Several hours—and drinks—later, eyewitnesses say that two people had to physically pull the 29-year-old actor off of a female film executive whom he’d choked unconscious.

This past week, the news broke that Hirsch had been cast in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, a based-on-a-true-story tale set against the backdrop of the 1969 Manson Family murders. The movie is set to star Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning, Kurt Russell, and Margot Robbie as the late Sharon Tate.
When Hirsch’s casting was announced, The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil, a pal of Bernfeld’s, criticized the decision on Twitter: “Cool. Emile Hirsch strangled my tiny female best friend until she blacked out at a party in front of dozens of witnesses at Sundance Film Festival (and was convicted) but Tarantino just cast him in a movie. INTENSE case of rich white male privilege eh? Cool. Cool. Cool.”

reading this story just screams to me, "they are lying and he didn't do what they accused him of." Obviously I could be wrong. But, this just reads like a lie.

If it wasn't for bad morals Hollywood would have no morals at all.

It's Taratino.
Zero doubt dude has some weird/pervy stuff in his closet.

For starters, it’s the first post-Weinstein film of Tarantino’s, whose impressive oeuvre not only helped create the Weinstein mythos but also kept his company afloat—this despite the filmmaker knowing that the mogul had attacked his ex-girlfriend, the actress Mira Sorvino. If that weren’t enough, Tarantino’s also defended Tate’s former husband Roman Polanski’s rape of a 13-year-old girl (“Look…she was down with this”); endangered the life of Uma Thurman during the filming of Kill Bill; creepily propositioned Jane Hamsher, producer of the Tarantino-penned Natural Born Killers; and called on himself to choke Diane Kruger in Inglourious Basterds.

Ya no one acknowledges that fact though. They are always a white guy until they get offended about something, then it’s anti Semitic.

This isn't he said she said BS that happened in a room with no witnesses. He got plastered drunk and did this in full view of several witnesses. He doesn't even deny that it happened, but instead said she "provoked him".

This movie is about the Manson murders, in part.
My hunch is that Hirsh was cast as Manson. Manson was a very small, distinct-looking, creepy dude. Not a lot of actors who maach his physical characteristics and have the acting chops to pull off that role. But I could definitely see Hirsch doing a good job.
They probably felt they had to cast him and just hoped the attack wouldn't resurface.

Is that wrong?
Are we not supposed to do that?
