He has stated he will be releasing/making public the information regarding the Hunter Biden laptop info suppression and collusion with the US Gov't.

This whole Elon/Twitter saga has been really fascinating to watch.
I'm in agreement with those who suspect the Babylon Bee banning on twitter spurred Elon into making his initial bid to buy it. He may have had some interest before, but it appears this was the proverbial straw. I listened to Elon's interview with the Bee that came out earlier this year if I remember correctly, and I recall seeing a tweet by Elon just after the ban saying something to the effect that it was bs or something has to be done about it. Days later he made his public bid.
At this point, I'm rather impressed that Musk is actually following through on an agenda of free speech at twitter. Musk was already openly at odds with Bill Gates before the twitter saga and was getting negative press as a result... but anyone with the slightest amount of open-mindedness can see that upon Musk making his public bid, the intensity of the attacks from the media and politicians escalated dramatically, and attacks... I mean investigations... by a number of government agencies were suddenly launched.
But Musk has not appeared to relent... at least not yet.
On what I think is a related note, I've noticed some on twitter (mostly those in the crypto community) are complaining that bots are getting out of control. I suspect, along with the other attacks on Musk, various 3 letters and/or other countries are ramping up bot efforts to diminish quality of interactions. This would go along with the public cries by certain factions that twitter is going to crash after all the firings... twitter is going to fail after all the firings, etc...
And to the point of the OP... yeah, twitter has buried stories that hurt dems, suppressed truth in other issues, etc. Beyond a doubt. But it's a bold statement for Musk to say so openly. Good on him.

Twitter pre-Elon was a mess. Prior to him it was policed by people who had an agenda, so I look forward to him being more of a janitor type to clean up what was left behind for him and make it a user-friendly platform.

I think he has a security team of 5-10 loyal guys, with another 5-10 for rotaton. Vet them politically, family connections, and pay them generously.
