Don’t we already have massive debt? Where were you the last 4 years when the debt severely increased? You were on here trying to convince everyone not to vote for Trump instead of complaining about the spending.

Compare trump and Biden deficit spending.... What you'll find is that there's not much of a difference. Bidens been driving deficit down since Donald's covid spending spree

In deed. Get ready for Trump to blow up the economy in 3 years like he did previously.

Imagine the low IQ and severe TDS you must have to believe Trump destroyed the economy. People who say this should not be taken seriously.

He's completely ignoring that damned near 40 republicans opposed it as well. That's about as bipartisan as you're gonna get in today's world.

Liz Cheney and the whole CRIMINAL Jan. 6 cabal got a pass in that Bill. NO Bill that allows that should be voted in.

Will be interesting to see what Bannon says on this. He's up and I'm in.

A super fair & simple bill was put to a vote and only 2 Democrats in Congress were in favor. Therefore, responsibility for the shutdown rests squarely on the shoulders of @RepJeffries

Ah yes the ole they didn't take our first offer so it's their fault. Please ignore Republicans walking back the agreed upon budget. While disgusting they gave themselves raises going back on their negotiations is equally disappointing

There's nothing proper nor conservative about suspending the debt ceiling when you're $36T+ in debt.

Support for a candidate or politician should never be an all-or-nothing scenario. In that vein, I would hope to see more people siding with philosophy rather than waffling due to hero worship.

But here we are.

And water is wet and ice is cold. The inflation reduction act didn't reduct the inflation much. Point is, when you compare apples to apples Trump's apples were better, for me anyway. Regardless, the election is over and he won. Time for the TDS inflicted to shut up and seek help.

Trump increased the yearly deficit from 590,000,000,000 to 980,000,000,000 1.6x increase. Without counting covid.

Biden decreased the deficit from 2,770,000,000,000 to 1,833,000,000,000 33% decrease.

What has the debt ceiling done for us over the past 20 years? Has it reduced any spending? Seems to me like it has made things worse, by creating all of the "crisis's" where they get more and more and more and more pork in to avoid the current "crisis", only to extend it to the next "crisis"...

Interesting take. Here is what I see

Year Deficit
2017 665B
2018 779B
2019 984B

2022 1376B
2023 1684B
2024 is projected to be close to 2 Trillion (2000B) again

Seems biden will have added 5 Trillion in 3 years where Trump added about 2.5 Trillion. If one is concerned about the debt, adding half as much additional debt seems to be better.
