Based on what I've seen in the past, a 10% reduction in deficit would be a HUGE improvement.

You're lying dude or you stupid or both. Eloquently or not. I believe that plain words are the easiest to understand.

One has to ask, why is Trump so eager to remove that leverage? Art of the Deal?

That's a pretty good question. He was a bit spendy in his first term (even removing COVID spending), with deficits increasing each year (although the last two, which was when Dems controlled the House, were far larger increases than the prior two when the GOP controlled the House) but I can't see him seriously thinking that removing all spending constraints on Congress would be a good thing.

There has to be a longer game on this, or at least I hope there is.

Jefferies is on record saying he refuses to give the GOP a win.

That's all this is.

Pure, unfiltered politics.

The irony of a Trump voter making this comment...

Theres no irony in that comment. You get an actual check from the state of Alaska, just for living there. And to get it, you have to apply for it. Just like all the welfare queens in all the other states do

And then have the balls to criticize anyone more conservative than you. Youre a fraud

Its ok, you can admit buying into left wing economics. Its a fatal flaw for the working class who cant better themselves, but need govt to act on their behalf.

Inflation is the primary thing govt does to hurt people. It comes from spending too much money.

We need govt to promote entrepreneurship, not support massive corporations.

I do not consider calling someone a liar, who is in fact lying to be personal attack. Perhaps you do. Stating a fact is NOT an attack.

I posted
quote:

Of Trump and harris, which of them would stay more out of your way.

and you replied
quote:

Both see govt as activist. So neither.

They are NOT the same and therefore one of them is bound to stay more out of your way than the other and we both know it. When you said "neither", you lied. Period. My calling you a liar was not an attack, it was statement of fact.

Robb Bobb claims Ron personally kept him out of Florida during Covid.

Really now.

Year Deficit
2009 1413
2010 1294
2011 1300
2012 1077
2013 680
2014 485
2015 442
2016 585
Total 7276

2017 665
2018 779
2019 984
2020 3132
Total 5560

If you look at the debt, it went up 8798B under barry and 7371 under Trump....
Someone is either a liar, stupid (doesn't understand math) or both.

Yep.

The debt increased by $8.18 trillion during Donald Trump’s presidency,

, the debt grew by $8.34 trillion, almost 70%. But Obama also served for two terms — his per-term impact on the national debt is much lower: an average increase of $4.17 trillion.
