Its not just Elon. All big private corporations will be eliminating WFH in 2025. No more of these fraudsters

Sure, but I included "who get their work done" to specify which I was discussing.

I am very anti hourly compensation, personally. It drives me nuts that so much of my profession's regulations assume hourly billing.

I completely disagree. There are certain jobs that 100% do not require a physical office for everyone.

WFH in the private and federal workforce

Why do you care what a private employer does concerning WFH? I’ve WFH for 20 years and have never worked in an office environment.

Ive seen this happen in real time.

This.

Though I'll say, at least in my experience, which maybe depends on the sector, it doesn't take long to figure out who's been F-ing off during times they should be tending to work duties.

Some "special meeting" gets called, and you find out that Sam/Sally hasn't been getting their shite done. Now...to be fair, they probably were lagging also a bit when working in the office, but it seems to catch up alot faster when they're left to their own self-discipline.

“boogiewoogie”

wanna bet they get more done than what you are insinuating?

they will move locations of certain departments & people will be forced to quit, they will thin themselves out without needing any lawsuits to block it.

Vivek & Elon are on a mission to cut waste & who am i to doubt these 2 guys that are at the top their game right now.

Incorrect, if you are on the clock running groceries and to the gym. I don't care if it's private or federal, it has to be eliminated

Let the private employers manage this

Are you trying to make MAGA look bad or is that just a side effect of you sharing your thoughts?

The hiking photos claiming "WFH sure is tough" was a nice touch on one I know who got busted.

Her antics, along with a couple others caused everyone else to have to return to the office.

I don’t understand why people care so strongly about this.

If people are able to complete their work from home and their place of employment allows it TFB.

If it doesn’t directly affect you, mind your business.

If I was their employer, think I'd have to file that one with HR as "Too stupid to work for us."

She was a pretty sharp employee, but her affinity for selfies did her in.

Work from home saves money. Less overhead. FedGov is already deficient on office space. If Elon took a look at what the gov is spending for rental space, he might change his tune on this.

I do not know about that. For some jobs it does not make sense. For others WFH is a totally legit option. Also not all WFH people are the type of people who would take advantage of the system to go to the gym or the store on the clock.

We have had a few folks fired for "mouse jigglers" but that's about it.

They tried a blanket full return to the office about a year ago but that got such massive pushback they had to walk it back to a couple of days a month.

Its like people won't acknowledge this is going on. We just fired a Respiratory Therapist moonlighting as a Real Estate Agent. Dude was having other RTs cover his patients while leaving the hospital to show a house. Nothing was being done about it until I escalated it to the CEO. Now his arse is gone. I can't stand fraudsters

Yeah, from my understanding double dipping during WFH is a big issue. Folks figure out they can run a side biz and many do it.
