I don’t loathe her for her views per se, or even for her bias as a media executive.
I loathe her because I had a subscription to The Economist for years. I’d save up a couple to read on the many transoceanic flights I took at the time. I loved the clarity and dispassionate writing on issue that usual media would not invest in.
She came along as EIC just as Trump launched his campaign, and lurched the publication into a digital strategy leverage by stoking the TDS-addled.
She absolutely ruined an institution.
