You liberal, Marxist Biden people enjoy your zero pollution BS while China builds a coal fired plant every week .
I've heard this a lot and have never truly researched the validity of it. If China is indeed doing this, then those coal fired plants must be small and scattered throught the country. Which would be very wise of the CCP, as it harden their defense against a crippling attack on their energy supply.
If true, that MO is exactly what we should be doing. Biden, Hunter, McConnel, et al got their check from the CCP, so go figure.
Where does China get their coal? Seems that is a pertinent point if China is building "a coal fired plant every week".

It doesn't have glow plugs, but it does have a block heater and is currently sitting outside all warmed up and ready to roll.
It's also been started at -5*F with no supplemental heat before and did just fine. Was completely buried in snow and ice at the time, and proceeded to drag an 18' trailer down a 20 mile long forestry road in the mountains and THEN drove 1300 miles across the country back home with ONE fuel stop.
Pure lithium battery electric transportation is a niche product. Diesel is still the best way to travel and transport outside of local commute and delivery use.

These articles are designed to stir you guys up and you'll all let them spoon feed it to you. Here is a list of EV ownership per capita by country. Figure out what they have in common and see if you come to the conclusion that you should ask more questions
Canary media
It is easy to look up more and confirm these stats. I'll throw in that this happened in one place while the whole country dealt with a winter blast of weather.

I work at the used car branch of a large dealer here in Bozeman, and it was about -20 yesterday and has been for the last 4 days.
We have a 2016 Chevy Bolt EV with low miles here, nice car with no issues, and our big store called us yesterday wanting to come get it to try and sell it. We went outside to try and get it going, and it barely had enough power to turn the interior electronics on. Would not go into drive, and more importantly, it will not charge. At all. It is now completely inert, won’t do anything at all without a jump box on the 12v battery, and everything shuts off instantly like an unplugged computer when you take that off.
For reference, the last time I checked on the car in normal temps, it was at a little under half charge, showing about 100 miles of range. Wild to think that you’d just leave your car outside overnight in some cold and it would become completely unusable.

Probably Russia. I believe I read somewhere that Russia has more coal than the rest of the world combined.

EVs are a great idea,
Are they?
You realize that the first cars were electric, right? Way back when. Before the Model T.
But somehow the ones that burned gas won out in that capitalistic battle of survival of the fittest.

I dint have that problem with a gas powered vehicle .

China is mining their own coal. The most dangerous coal mines on earth.

And Norway will take it deep in the azz if they have an EMP or any type of electrical production event. EV's have their place but all these people trying to cram their eggs in one basket are fools.

Lots of government incentives to spur ownership?

EVs are currently a novelty.
Manufacturers went with the simplest option for power - batteries are storage devices, not power cells or power plants. The "power" still comes from oil, coal and gas. The grid wasn't a focus - the US can't produce enough electricity - by any means - to provide enough power to get the nation to even 30% EVs. We are currently under 2% and CA tells people on summer days not to charge....
The batteries use unrecyclable rare earth minerals. What happens when those minerals are exhausted? Oil and gas, conversely are plentiful and the earth continues to make hydrocarbons.
Nuclear seems to be off the table - yet it has powered France since the 80's. Our Naval fleet has also used nuclear power since the 60's. That would seem a smarter, better bet than the failing wind turbines and wasting farm and pasture land on solar arrays - which are not good for the environment.

People haven’t even begun to grasp the catastrophic implications of widespread EV use.
99.9% of Americans have 0 knowledge of computers, electronics or battery technology, if they did they would never buy an EV today for primary transportation. There will likely come a time in 20-30-40 years when EVs are competitive in price and convenience with gasoline vehicles.

Cue billjamin to say EVs are great even though he doesn’t drive one because he knows deep down inside if he didn’t have an ICE he’d be fricked.
You think every EV owner is fricked? Again, if so, can you explain why?
