The end. You can't weed out establishment if you can't get rid of them., and that goes for both sides.

I’ve been thinking about term limits a lot lately.

I think you’re right.

He’s definitely correct but they will NEVER, EVER vote themselves out of power.

It’s a pipe dream:

Term limits put the bureaucracy firmly in charge, with diminishing chances of correcting the slide to one world govt.

100%. Every politician running should sign a term limit pledge and when that limit is up and they run it should automatically disqualify them.

Lmao!! Tell us, oh wise one..... how do you think this might be accomplished????
The answer is obvious, this can only be accomplished by Congress.
Now, step two....
Who votes for those in Congress???

We the people.
Step three. We the people must vote for better congressional representation.
This is EXACTLY what the founding fathers would tell you.

Your welcome

True. It would cycle through the same Jack rabbits making decisions under the guise of different candidates.

BUT, I think the pros outweigh the cons. Just my opinion

Elections are pointless until there is serious election integrity legislation that a majority of states agree on. As a side discussion, until there is a balanced budget amendment drafted and passed the exploding US taxpayer debt, courtesy the federal government, will continue to be the greatest thief the American people face.

The electorate could vote out incumbents each cycle if it wanted to do so.

Term limits and age limits, in all three federal branches of government.

OK pros versus cons: how would you actually put in term limits and at the same time limit the growth of bureaucracy

if you dont the cure is worse than the disease

A politician might be watchful or careful about his public perception, not just job performance concerning votes, but the public's access is a big influence since they need the public to get elected
Bureaucrats don't give a shite what your opinion is

Or imagine how much a politician would sell you out if they know they're in their last term ,,well AFTER the one they are in

It’s pointless if you want the border open which will lead to high crime, skyrocketing inflation, and massive welfare spending. Otherwise, it doesn’t matter much lol

It was a top issue over a decade ago. Room full of 100 in BR “legal industry”.
Beyond time for term limits and elimination of billions of bribes via PACs. Legislation eliminating Citizens United

A close second would be money paid on goods and services to shield against liability lawsuits.

Wrong. Term limits are only part of the problem.

The electorate and voter fraud are the bigger problems. They are only one election away from getting the boot.

Ask Massiengil and Cornyn about dat

I’m thinking the only way to implement them would be if/after things go to absolute shite and we do it while building the country back.

Elections are pointless until we get rid of electronic voting systems that can be manipulated or hacked.

We can't weed them out as long as we have these systems.
