This is how I know you aren’t Scott. Jay didn’t take that job for the money. He took it to protect any and all attempts to further reform the film subsidy programs we are still hemorrhaging general fund dollars through.

You steal articles, reword them here as your own, “analysis,” and people forget last year you didn’t even realize there were less registered Republicans than Democrats in Louisiana while advocating for the idiotic position of throwing out open primaries which allow for the very conservative success you see at every level of local and statewide government.

Rispone lost because he ran a terrible campaign, plain and simple. If not for Trumps help, he would have lost in a landslide, and probably not gotten to a runoff. Listening to the Michael Berry show, he talked about how tried to help him and basically got blown off. Now you can say what you want about Berry but he has a large following on social media, radio, and is very well connected. He called Rispone's campaign manager one morning and offered to have Rispone on his show which has a large following, including a morning show, and evening show, the latter being broadcast in New Orleans, and Baton Rouge. He also said he had prominent national and state Republicans that were on board, and ready to jump in and campaign for him. By that evening, he still hadn't heard back, so he called the campaign manager, to see if there were any questions, anything to move things along. Campaign manager said the only response he'd had thus far was a text "can't right now - swamped"
Now say what you want about Berry, but what he offered was real exposure, and real support that would have helped a campaign that lost by the slimmest of margins. I like Rispone and wish he'd have won, but hearing that, makes me agree with Berry, that he ran a poor campaign. Yet still dam near won, and that should concern any Democrat. Not to mention nearly every other Republican won in the state, which brings up the question of just how are people going to the polls saying, Republican, Republican, Republican, but for governor, Democrat, but I digress.

far as i know, all i knew about respone was he "claimed" to be a trump supporter and wasnt JBE
beyond that i cant recall a single thing he said he would do as gov
i still voted for respone because frick JBE but he gave me not a single reason to vote "for" him
add to that i saw somewhere that while 60% of dimms voted, only 40% of repubs voted and many of those voted JBE because they were abrahms voters who got their feels hurt
its pretty much the repeat of vitter cheated on his wife so they let JBE win

Unless he doesn’t and either moderate Biden or M4A Bernie thinks they can flip LA, among others
