You're the one talking about Japan's diversity having frick all to do with Christianity.

Yes because it does. Read the wikipedia link about the vast and rich history of Christianity in Japan. Look at when the persecution ended and Christianity most flourished. Look at the cities it happened to be centered around and what happened to those cities. Then maybe you can read further. That's history and it does have something to do with that. Japan has been isolationist since long before LGBT became an issue so clearly it has frick all to do with that. I hope you can stick around for more discussion and maybe learn more

The issue isn’t running out of workers to toil in factories. The issue is running out of taxpayers to maintain entitlement programs that provide healthcare and income to the elderly. It’s a ticking demographic time bomb in many nations including virtually the entire former Soviet block

That and exposure to radiation from 2 atomic bombs is why post WW2 Japanese culture has created some weird stuff. Is it a coincidence that Japanese Hentai is most popular in the areas of Sweden that were most exposed to the Chernobyl fallout?

“They” say that’s highly attributable to it being an island nation…..not quite as easy for them slickster illegals to slip in under the dark of night via land routes. To which some so-called “people” may retort “but what about them Britishes over there, they got em an island kingdom, hell.” Which I believe is where “tradition” and liberal immigration policies of the the Britishmen comes into play and shoots that island “nation” over the top and through the roof.

So to review:

Jap - geographical obstacles for potential illegal immigration, immigration tradition not conducive.

Brit - your immigration orgy invitation is in the mail.

I just think most modern countries will most be on some sort of UBI by the time that would become an issue. Having a smaller population could be a benefit and probably needed long term.

Japan doesn't have the land to have an ever-increasing population.

If they could just get to the Christianity levels of Nigeria, Japan would be a much better place.

UBI doesn’t fix the problem, it makes it WORSE!!!

The problem is that there’s not enough people working and earning tax money to pay for all of the retirees. As the ratio of workers to retirees goes down, the government taxes businesses and workers more to pay for their unfunded liabilities. The more those employers are taxed, the less they pay workers, and the more workers are taxed the less disposable income they have. Less disposable income means fewer “nights out”, fewer opportunities to find romantic partners, less marriages, and more childless or single-child marriages because there’s simply not enough money left over to expense on the costs of child rearing.

Japan is a modern nation that is highly functioning, but its kicking the can down the road to collapse.

Yes unironically
Is it unreasonable to say Nigeria is probably better with widespread Christianity than with various tribes of cannibal voodoo witchery. Compare Nigeria to the Congo and Japan to other Asian countries, maybe then you'd have something, maybe

Don't tell that to some of these freaks that turn every discussion on this board into a Christianity Ted Talk.

I wonder how much their older people depend on whatever the govt conned them with.

If they are like the US in general, they are screwed. If they are like me in particular, not really.

Think of all that Japan is missing out on

They could have their own Detroit but their racism is getting in the way

Great anecdote. The data say otherwise. 1.3 births for every woman - massively below the 2.1 needed to just tread water.
