According to the DOJ website, sedition/conspiracy, the 5 year statute of limitations does not start until the last act of conspiracy. One could argue that the continuing denials of those involved would mean the clock hasnt even started ticking yet.

This doesn’t sound right. Federal Grand Juries issue Superseding Indictments with added defendants and added counts all the time.
