Not gonna lie...I’m pretty damn sick of him slowly encroaching on shite like this.

Should I care about this?
Tell me why?

BUT as a responsible gun owner I have to recognize that there are morons in this country who shouldn't be able to get their shite hooks on so much as a BB gun.
Well, and I'm just spitballing here, why can't we lock up/eliminate these morons and let the law abiding folks have whatever firearm they want?

I'm actually totally fine with it, just pointing out they exploit gun free zones
So they make gun free zones safer, like hunting over a baited field.
Predator goes to launch attack on school or other "gun free zone", gets shot by plastic gun defending the helpless prey.

Your “Drumpf” nickname sounds like a child made it up.

This board pivots on a dime

I am even less shocked you of all people would say this.
How would the government stop people printing their own plastic gun parts at home?
I have my own 3D printer and I am only familiar with PLA and ABS. What other materials are strong enough to make gun parts? I would not trust PLA or ABS.
I understand the laser metal printing but if you are going to do that you might as well use the cheaper CNC machines.

Gotta say, the thought of anyone having the ability to make an untraceable gun is awesome.
One of the coolest and best features of this emerging technology.

So? What does this have to do with anything? These rudimentary 3d printed gun do work. If you explored this, at all, beyond a headline or an NRA tweet, you'd understand the goal of the effort for printed guns.
Google defense distributed. Google ghost gunner. This is bigger than some disagreement about plastics.

Oh you’re fricking kidding me... sleepy eyed? Crooked? Moochelle? Hildabeast? Every nickname ever coined by Trump or this board has been the stuff of elementary school playgrounds

Good. You should be mad.

I have a little rifle that is mostly plastic.
Its a Henry AR-7.22 LR It's light enough that it will float.
It has a plastic barrel with a thin steel insert inside, and receiver is mostly aluminum.
It aint worth a frick really. You'd be lucky to kill a rabbit at 20 yards.

Guns are cheap and easy to get right now. I agree with Trump on this one.

so we're supposed to be mad that trump wants to enforce the law? there's no law against creating your own weapons for personal use. creating them and selling them without an FFL or conducting background checks, however, is illegal. why should i be mad about this?

I don't and they wouldn't be able to.

IDK. It's just me but if I wanted to get into the gun building as a hobby I'd purchase a lathe and a mill and make the parts out of 4140 heat treated steel. I just don't get those warm and fuzzies from plastics unless I see some serious strength testing.

Thanks for the reminder. Tying string on finger now.
