Your “Drumpf” nickname sounds like a child made it up.
He is making fun of the people that made up the term.

Reminder: The NRA isn't an organization that cares about gun owners. It's an organization that cares about gun manufacturers.
While mostly true, by proxy, they defend the 2nd, and are a large force to do so...
Without them, judges would've all but eliminated it...
I know it's difficult for you to see, but that is why hordes of pro-liberty people support the NRA.

I am looking into 3-D Plastic Guns being sold to the public.
1. The issue people are sky-screaming over isn't the possible sale, it's the availability of 3D plans (which makes it a 1st Amendment issue, not a 2nd Amendment issue).
2. Anyone selling a printed gun would fall under the same laws as someone selling a name brand firearm (Ruger, S&W, etc)
3. Those same plans can be used in a higher-end printer to make metal firearms
4. If this is such an issue then what would be the difference between someone incorporating and producing such arms as a business versus using traditional machinery?

Guns are cheap and easy to get right now. I agree with Trump on this one.
Hot take. You read that on a crackerjack box?

Since the ATF recently ruled .50 ar15 uppers are firearms, I would expect new rulings from them and in typical ATF fashion go exceedingly too far and start classifying parts as firearms. They already classify features on semi autos as non sporting but same features are sporting on other platforms. They already used the 1968 GCA to prohibit imported barrels. Would not surprise me to see them place restrictions and licensing nonsense on accessory manufacturers like magazines.

Wouldn’t the bullets set off a metal detector?

When they outlaw guns I will need a 3-D printer perhaps. Till then I'm good.

If you are going there you might as well go the traditional route. It's going to be just as if not more expensive.

I don't believe the issue is hobby or home use. You can make your own metal or plastic guns as much as you want.
I believe the issue is, plastic firearms should fall under the same regs as metal firearms.

I've no problem with Trump being concerned about 3D guns.

Not mostly true, literally true. The NRA will pick manufacturers over gun owners every time the choice diverges.
Unless Russia tells them to go the other way, I guess.

But they won't, because nobody can stop them.
What a win for the good guys.

How much, if any, metal is there in a 3-D gun? I could understand the concern over the ease of getting one through a metal detector.
There are two metal parts: the barrel and firing pin. If the barrel is metal, it’s not getting through a metal detector.
However, if one chooses to 3D print the barrel as well, it will get through a metal detector, but Will only be capable of firing a single shot before the barrel melts and becomes unusable.

Why is that any of your concern if an adult makes the choice to create and use such an item?

You don’t live in a country where guns are outlawed. The printed gun gives those people freedom.
