The homeless problem in LA, and all over the West Coast, is a direct result of drug addiction.

The leftist politicians and pundits on TV have blamed it on a lack of affordable housing. But I do not believe that’s the case. It’s these cities enabling drug addicts, by failing to require that they face the natural consequences of their actions - and what’s worse (in places like Seattle) providing them with places that they can shoot up in public.

They built this.

What am I missing here? They are humans. I hope that they fix their problems and that deaths are limited to the greatest extent. Sending prayers

When I read stuff like this, I feel like I'm watching a person who juggles razor blades get shocked at being cut.

That’s pathetic. Basically LA just went back to early 1900s level of diseases

Thankfully technology at this point should be advanced enough to contain the diseases and limit death, no matter if they caused it themselves I can’t bring myself to wish death upon a fellow human.

Modern sanitation methods have done that for nearly 100 years now. For some reason, certain communities have decided it's now cool to allow entire swaths of the population to live amongst the rest of the populace while completely abandoning those ideas.

I said I understand it’s their fault. I just can’t bring myself to wish deadly diseases upon other humans as some in this thread have suggested.

I understand. I'm just pointing out that this is not really a failure of modern technology, but a seeming conscious decision to allow huge swaths of people to live outside its influence. That, I don't understand.

Yea, there are two safety nets for that though. The first one is what you are talking about, that their sanitation methods have gone to shite with the introduction of said peoples so the outbreak happened in the first place. I was more referencing what they are going to do to try to stop it at this point.

Anybody who can get out and doesn't has only themselves to blame for the consequences. Ok, and the regressives too!
