Dr Drew: LA public health in 'complete breakdown': 'No city on Earth tolerates this'

The public health situation in the nation's second-largest city is in "a complete breakdown," Dr. Drew Pinsky said Thursday night on "The Ingraham Angle."
“We have a complete breakdown of the basic needs of civilization in Los Angeles right now,” Pinsky told host Laura Ingraham. “We have the three prongs of airborne disease, tuberculosis is exploding, (and) rodent-borne. We are one of the only cities in the country that doesn’t have a rodent control program, and sanitation has broken down.”
Pinsky’s comments followed news that Los Angeles police officer had contracted typhoid fever, a rare and life-threatening illness that fewer than 350 Americans contract each year.
Los Angeles had a typhus outbreak last summer and will likely have another this summer, Pinsky said. Meanwhile, bubonic plague – a pandemic that killed tens of millions of people during the 14th century – is “likely” already present in Los Angeles, Pinsky added.
“This is unbelievable. I can’t believe I live in a city where this is not Third World. This is medieval,” Pinsky said. “Third World countries are insulted if they are accused of being like this. No city on Earth tolerates this. The entire population is at risk.”

Good. It’s well-earned and entirely predictable. I hope it continues to spiral.

Stay for the Medieval Era Diseases

I just feel sad about it. A lot of conservatives, including myself, saw this coming. But, I have NO INTEREST in telling a sick and maybe dying person out there, "I told you so," even this is an indictment on the left-wing loons who control California.
And now, as someone who does not have a medical background, 8 wonder just how bad and far-reaching this could be. When one considers that 1) it's an airborne disease, and 2) people travel, this could potentially become a problem for a lot of people.

But Dr House-Atl will tell you this is overblown and we are worrying about nothing.

Sorry but I do. Between the fact they did this to themselves and that they hate our republic and all it stands for I intend to openly laugh at and mock them as they suffer. No one deserves it more than them.

It's obvious he hasn't been to New Orleans or Baton Rouge lately.

No, no, I can think of at least one city that tolerates it.

The homeless problem in LA, and all over the West Coast, is a direct result of drug addiction.
The leftist politicians and pundits on TV have blamed it on a lack of affordable housing. But I do not believe that’s the case. It’s these cities enabling drug addicts, by failing to require that they face the natural consequences of their actions - and what’s worse (in places like Seattle) providing them with places that they can shoot up in public.
They built this. But unfortunately if the disease it is causing is airborne- we all have to live with the consequences.
Goddamn California pisses me off. None of this is physically or emotionally healthy.
