The rumor is that we were able to take down several during the early days of radar development because it fricked up their navigation systems.

Ok.... they have figured out the physics to travel large distances very quickly with advanced propulsion or travel inter-dimensionally.... but radar, in its extreme infancy, crashed the crafts?

The way I see it is that this stuff has been muddied to hell and high water by now and determining what's what with any certainty is nearly impossible. Like it or not, we are pretty much stuck waiting for the government to come clean. Even then I'm not going to necessarily believe what they have to say about any of it unless it is backed with good evidence.

I agree with all of this.

At this point even them telling me what the “reality” is would be a starting point requiring a lot of verification rather than a conclusion to the story so to speak.

Why does everyone always assume they are so advanced?
What if space / time or whatever travel is all they are good at?
Maybe they suck at everything else and are enormous P’s.

They lucked out and figured something out or put all their time and knowledge into that. Nothing else.

Your guess is as good as mine. The story goes that they started coming round en masse when we started developing and detonating nuclear weapons and they didn't realize we had developed radar. We took a lot of them down initially and then they fixed their navigation systems, correcting the error. Hence why most of the stories of downed craft and retrievals come from the late 1940s and early 1950s but not many, if any, since then.

Who knows? I wouldn't assume that our technological tree is precisely the same as theirs, or vice versa. They may have been unfamiliar with radar. They may have developed to their level having used something different from our radar systems.

One thing I do know though is that their technology is obviously very different from ours. I wouldn't just ASSUME anything. Including the idea that they are traveling here from far away.

I've been conditioned by this board to stop reading any type of social media post if it starts with one word followed by an exclamation point.

Or in regards to radar taking them down, they may have totally skipped this aspect of technological development because they don't fight wars with one another and they never developed the need for it.

It is simply ridiculous to assume anything about them or their technology. The only thing we know is that we don't know.

I thought something similar the other day. The way we all assume the path to idiocracy is a foregone conclusion, maybe othwr civilizations are similarly filled with 99% morons and the 1% who has mastered space travel can't do much beyond explore.

Eta
On the flipside, we also seem headed for a transhumanistic, AI society so "non-human intelligence" could also mean non-biologic as well. Then what?

Yawn. They need to show us the shite or stfu. Ancient aliens tv show has already did the bit where "officials claim this and that, but are too scared to come forward and show proof".

It, the Ethiopian Bible, has not changed in over 1700 years. It has the 66 books of the KJV and additional books the KJV left out. It is a fascinating read, especially for one who has read the Holy Bible KJV more than once.

Additionally, the Ark of the Covenant is said to be stored in an Ethiopian Church.

It will not hurt for you to take a look at it. I think you will be glad you did.

You post that 2-3 posts down from saying the only thing you know for sure is that their technology isn't anything like ours.

Look, I've decided that you're right. I should just let those of you who want to circle jerk over this (IMO) obvious nonsense alone.

It's the self contradictions that I find hard to leave be, which would be the case no matter the subject matter.

But I'm going to try.

I know two things about the phenomenon.

1. It is real.
2. They possess technology that we don't understand.

I come to these conclusions through personal experience as well as just boat loads of sworn testimony from thousands of people. I personally feel confident enough to establish those two things. But beyond that, it doesn't make much sense to make assumptions. We are dealing with something we cannot understand.

You don't know that at all. The stuff that has been released would be so easy to fake at this point in the technological game it's silly. Especially when you accept the logical assumption that the intelligence agencies that would be responsible for the misinformation campaign on it would doubtless have AI capabilities that civilians don't have access to yet.

Unless by "personal experience" you mean that you have been abducted or seen a spaceship up close or something, you don't know that it's real at all.

As for thousands of people testifying, have you ever heard of the "Miracle of the Sun" in Portugal in 1917? That was witnessed by around 70,000 people. All at the same time.

There are around 4-5k separate reports of bigfoot sightings in North America.

Heck, there are 1,500 sightings of the Loch Ness Monster, and that's been proven to be a hoax.

Our Secretary of State says this is a real phenomenon. So did two former CIA directors. I believe them.

You believing people is one thing. Someone claiming that they KNOW the phenomena is real is another.

I still don't know what it is about conspiracy theorists that makes them (you?) claim that every single thing the government says about perfectly ordinary, mundane occurrences is a hoax/false flag/smokescreen/diversion, but the least likely, most fantastic, most farfetched thing that a few former government officials claim is true, but whatever.

Yes, I do.

Look, you can feel however you want about it, but you cannot deny another person what is their own personal experience. Maybe your personal experience is different, and that's fine, but you'll never find me in threads telling you that something you claim to have experienced is false. Why? Because I'm not an arrogant enough prick to claim to know anything about another person's experiences.
