US stocks turned higher Wednesday, with the Dow Jones industrial average and the S&P 500 closing at new record highs. Tech stocks recovered after the Federal Reserve reiterated its pledge to continue supporting the US economy as it continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

quote:

The Fed upgraded its economic projections including its view that gross domestic product will expand by 6.5% this year, up from the prior estimate of 4.2%. Economists have said the vaccinations of millions of Americans and the $1.9 billion fiscal stimulus package from Washington are key factors in driving economic recovery. The Fed also indicated that no rate hikes will take place before 2023

Keep pumping out the greenbacks!!

All I know is that my 401K just keeps moving my retirement date sooner and sooner and I'm loving it.

Your problem, my problem and millions of Americans problem is the money you’re saving for retirement may have a significant reduction in purchasing power due to Fiat Monetary Policy on steroids. The dollar is losing purchasing power like never before my brother......debased, devalued.....it ain’t good.

Relative value is the key here. In 20 years, you'll need several million dollars of assets to retire in comfort.

meanwhile china has started tightening. we are playing into their hands with this relentless printing...this might actually be the inflection point where they actually take over the global economy.

The Deep State would never raise rates under the current Junta.

This is what happens in the short term.

Democrats blow out the spending on an n already heated up economy.

Short term this is looks good.

Till inflation sets in.

It will be the Carter years all over again.

Milton Friedman would not be concerned. He says there is nothing we can produce as cheaply as green paper.

As the dollar drops, the value of Chinese labor rises. That's pretty much their sole export. They can only tighten so much before they outprice their labor.

But, a day of reckoning is coming, just like it did for the British empire.

I could survive the Carter years all over again but I think it's going to get much worse than that.

Based on what? We're primed for a big recovery once all states are completely opened.
