Wouldn’t NN affect wireless as well?

well when your investments are heavily subsidized by the government and on public ROWs, shouldn't the government, and the most importantly, the taxpayers, have some say?

I agree the government shouldn't just give out money, but do we have any say in any other government funding private business or individuals?

If Bob is on "disability" for his ADHD, we don't get to say how Bob spends his disability check even though it's our money and we don't own Bob's possessions.

Of course politicians both R and D are getting rich by writing these grants to give to companies that they somehow sit on the board of or brother owns. We know it happens, but we would rather argue about who is worse R's or D's.

Ok. Again. This has nothing to do with NN.

It has everything to do with it

NN legalized smaller ISPs from offering specific packages, at a lower cost. Now that they cant hide behind NN, they are keeping them out with franchise contracts

The bad guy in all this has always been govt control

If I now wanted to offer non-streaming services at a greatly reduced monthly cost to subscribers, the franchise contract has frozen me out. Before it was NN that kept me out

why are you so convinced that in this ONE CASE the free market can't improve everything for everyone?

or maybe you think government regulations are the answer to all.

We should.

So when given the opportunity, we definitely shouldn't be opposed to it.

Yet here we are.

Do you know when that article was written? 2013, well before any of this Title 2 and NN stuff started to arise.

Nothing about yesterday's ruling does anything to change the premise of that entire article.

Sorry, just not a fan of giving government control. They don't exactly have the best track record.

The government is already in control. That is what everyone seemingly ignores.

SFP comin through with a cherry picked article supporting the anti-gov religion!

Seriously though, the cable companies and ISPs have the lowest consumer ratings in the country. And yet, they thrive. Free market indeed.

I'm not.

But nobody has been able to tell me how NN would affect wireless.

At its core, it is basic consumer protection. I realize the the NN laws that were just repealed had other bullshite tacked on, and I was against those.

But I would still like some form of replacement bill that has basic protections.

But that isn't how our shitty government works. They either go all in or nothing.

Should have add a more in that sentence. Of course the basically control everything, no need to give then more.

I would even say if a private business owns something or the government owns something the consumer has more control over the business via the invisible hand than it does over the government.
