Hurricanes are a natural phenomenon and are useful in the big scheme. One thing they do is disturb the sea floor bringing nutrients to the surface boosting productivity and increasing marine life.
Hurricanes may seem to be intensifying because so many people are living on coast lines where maybe they shouldn’t be living.

3 of florida's worst storms hit in the last 30 years.
It must be climate change!

He's from Baker which looks like it was hit by a hurricane 24/7

Storms aren't any more "intense" than they've been in all of history. Galveston hurricane in early part of 20th century was the deadliest of all time. Camille in 60's was much worse than any recently. Andrew in '92 was a cat 5. Dumb frick is just trying to re-write a narrative for idiot viewers who have no recollection of past storms.

His defiant declaration that “I grew up there“ so he is the authority and arbiter of all things regarding hurricanes is laughable. The data over decades before he was even born says a lot more than his personal experience from 15 to 20 years of growing up. Don doesn’t hold any degrees in weather. He reads a Teleprompter and acts as if he’s an expert on anything.

Fool has never been able to think for himself
He' been programmed and doomed with thoughts people aren't buying anymore: racism, climate change, DJT is bad, mandatory covid vax, Brandon/dems are all good, etc.

Labor day Hurricane.....

I love how “him being from the area” makes him an expert on storm intensity and climate changes supposed role in this.

Storms are just as bad as they've always been. Not worse. Not intensifying.
it is only their coverage of the weather that has "intensified". sensationalizing every little thing.

Can you imagine the “anti-science” tears that would be flowing if a Fox News anchor questioned the head of NOAA like that?

jesus fricking christ... "I grew up there, these storms are intensifying"
A worse storm his just 5yrs ago, so climate change took the last 5yrs off, amirite?
Lemon should go report from the beaches of Florida without a life jacket.

I don't know. I see a ton of intense hurricanes from the early 1900s to hit the US. Surely with the oceans being colder than they are now the storms from the 1900s shouldn't have been this intense. Guess it was all the extra horses and cows farting back then causing the warming.

Yeah, that's the equivalent of "I don't remember it being this hot when I was a kid"

Head of NOAA: We shouldnt try to tie a hurricane event to climate change.
Don Lemon: I grew up there so I know better than you.

Exactly what storms is he talking about? This is the first tropical depression this year and it’s towards the end of the season. It hasn’t even made landfall yet and the eye is already collapsing
The earth is certainly in a warming trend, and it seems intuitive that a warmer earth will lead to storms with more energy, and that’s exactly what we’re seeing. The earth is not warming fast enough for 20 years to make a giant difference, though.
The question in all of this is what is causing the earth to warm? Is it partially man? And if so, how much is due to man, and how painful would it be to correct that?
But when Don Lemon browbeats a meteorologist, and when that meteorologist won’t give Don’s narrative Don gives it himself, several things become clear:
1. Don is not going to invite that particular meteorologist back on his show.
2. Getting on shows, like Don’s, is important to meteorologists’ careers.
3. So the next meteorologist that makes it on Don’s show will give the answer Don wants.
4. The viewing public, therefore, is not hearing the view of scientists, but is hearing the view of the media.
5. That’s how the media corrupts science.
