Agreed and I’m Team Trump 100%.

Cutting off quality programs that research cancer and things like that should never have to wait long to get the spigot turned back on.
Is there bloat? Yes, but let’s seemingly try to be reasonable or no one takes what happens seriously.

Currently there are 15-20 government funded hospitals that are on their way to closure due to cuts.
I may be thinking outside the box but I think we need our hospitals.

They are not cutting off research for cancer. Stop fricking watching Rachel Maddow

They know exactly what they are doing. They have been preparing for it for over a year

They have everything planned. God damn some of you people have zero fricking patience. we are coming up on the 6th full week out of a 4 year term.

Elon and Trump have both said that they plan to have DOGE done in 2026

So fricking sick and tired of everybody bitching and moaning about every God damn thing this president and his team are doing

Yes, Pam Bondi got played. Will she redeem herself? Yes, I think so.

Trump has surrounded himself with the smartest people on the planet that understands the economy and the way it works. They have all been working on this for several months! Trump knew he was going to win the election in a landslide.

People need to give this shite that they are doing more time than 6 fricking weeks

Disagree. He has to run a chainsaw because there's a ridiculous amount to go through. It's been openly said they will make mistakes on the way, but try to fix as they go.

They know they have 2 years before elections, and they will need time to both break, and fix the economy before then.

I hope y'all are right, but what I fear is the fallout of some incoherent and haphazardly executed attempt to reduce the size of the federal government is going to give the Dims a shot at winning the midterms and that's not good.

I firmly believe reducing the size and scope of the federal government can be accomplished during Trump's 2nd term but there are a lot of details that need to be considered and addressed so the process of reducing the federal government isn't an opportunity for the Dims and Gaslight Media to smear MAGA and take control in the midterms. Any chaos, disorder, sob stories, etc while dismantling the federal behemoth will be ammo for the Dims to convince squishy voters that MAGA is dangerous and irresponsible.....that kinda shite has to be minimized while still getting the job done.

I spoke to GEOTUS, told him about your concerns. Relayed to him that you are VERY VERY concerned, and only want what is best for the country.

He said for me to tell you that you're a faag.

We'll all get to revisit this in a couple of years and we'll see how it plays out. Let's hope and pray for Team Trump and DOGE to be successful.

Musk wielding the DOGE chainsaw was pretty funny but in reality the attempt to significantly reduce the size of the federal behemoth is serious business and it's going to take very savvy, very smart and very serious people to ever have a chance of becoming reality.

Usually, I am in agreement with ur post....
You don't think Musk qualifies as savy, very smart and very serious?
I do agree that Musk is only the one exposing the grift and it will take follow up by Congress to deal with the waste, fraud, and corruption in a meaningful way.
That's on us, we the people, and who vote into Congress to represent us.
That is the foundational and only sure way to ensure meaningful change.

I disagree.

As you see that as time passes the dems mount a defense.

If you had just waited and asked the dems nicely. Zero would be cut.

Know what also looks bad? Deporting people, especially women and children. But they have to go.

Their best shot to win big there is for the Supreme Court to end gay marriage

I mean, you can’t flip on the news without seeing Trump or Musk. The corruption of our government is being well-covered, but no one has the balls to do anything to stop it and the fricking loser Democrats thinking holding up signs at a speech is the answer because they are that clueless.

If you didn't know by now that MAGA has strict purity tests I'm not sure what to tell you.

You may have administered a few, in fact.

DOGE isn’t cutting waste, fraud and abuse, it’s just AUDITING waste fraud and abuse so that it can be eliminated. It’s conducting a fricking audit.

Trump is trying to eliminate the waste Musk has identified himself (which I think he has the power to do), but for this bullshite to be permanent, he can (and should) report to Congress who can use his recommendations to cut future spending.

DOGE just gives advice about to improve shite. It doesn’t cut anything. Half this crap has to do with the way the spending is coded. I can’t even write a check on QuickBooks without categorizing the expense. Yet the Federal Government didn’t have to do that shite for God only knows how long. So how exactly were we supposed to know whether these agencies were acting within the scope of their legislated authority.

It’s at the point of MAKING a plan. We haven’t even gotten to the point of execution.

Before you give us this brilliant advice, I suggest you investigate the percentage of our "non-military" federal government employees are on the job less than 2 years. 2 years in which this country has lost $4,000,000,000,000 each fricking year. For all of your crying, the reality that we are going bankrupt is only becoming more clear..

Yeah maybe we should study if for another 20 years and that way we won't have anymore money and thus no more country

That’s the point. This has been tried twice in my lifetime, wit two different measured and planned approaches, and neither got anywhere. Reagan and Clinton had good intentions, but the blob swallowed them.

Trump and Elon are doing it the only way it has a chance at success. Go in chopping and don’t stop chopping unless they kill you. It’s almost all waste. If something important breaks, just fix it and keep chopping.
