There are a bunch of military/intel/academic types who have been hammering Trump for months and telling the truth. Pape is probably the only one I would say who has TDS.
Academia: Jeffrey Sachs, John Mearsheimer, Robert Pape
Military: Col. Larry Wilkerson, Lt. Col. Daniel Davis, Col. Doug MacGregor, Lt. Col. Anthony Aguilar, Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski
Intel: Larry Johnson, Ray McGovern, Joe Kent, Scott Ritter, John Kiriakou
Diplomats/politicians: Amb. Chas Freeman, Alastair Crooke

Neither Teump or any of his ball huggers will ever admit that
As a matter of fact, they will claim huge success no matter what reality says.

You are as willfully ignorant as usual. This isn't about them starving their people. It's the over all picture that you willfully ignore.
quote:
Iran will let every citizen starve and not think twice about it.
Who said they would not? You are arguing this as if it's a significant thing. It's not.
quote:
Meanwhile, here people on this forum complain about a $20 combo from Cane's or McDonald's.
If anybody is paying $20 for a McDonald's combo they are stupid. A Big Mac combo is generally around $10.
This is what's called SKY SCREAMING. Your estrogen is cause you to be over te top.
quote:
For pointing out Iran can sit this out as long as they want longer than we can?
No. It's because you think that is the case. That you think that they can because of starving their people.
quote:
You think Americans will tolerate more upward pressure on gasoline and cost of good and services for several more months?
LMAO! Bless your ignorant heart.

This board collectively will never admit that anything Trump has done, other than the vaccine, was a mistake.
Anyone with half a brain, though, knows this Iran shite is, was, and will continue to be a complete failure for Trump. He has to find a way to fix it soon.

Iran can and will sit this out longer than we can or will. They don't have to consider the things we do. You can pretend that any sanctions, blockades, etc will work but reality is very different. Iran does not and will not care. Iran also controls The Strait whether you want to admit it or not. No Trump tweet will change actual reality.

13 soldiers died due to the Biden/Obama rules of engagement. I trust the actual officers that were on the ground responsible for this or the surviving soldiers that were injured on that day that have spoken for hours on record about all of this.
It was botched obviously due to the billions of dollars in arms, logistics, etc. Didn't realize their were still disputers of how terrible that situation was due to our negligence and incompetence, but here we are.
This, word for word, describes the current Iran conflict. You just choose to ignore it because you like who the president is.
quote:
Even before the Army's probe was underway, a CBS News investigation began shedding light on what several survivors of the attack described as "strategic failures" ahead of, during and after the strike.
One day after the deadly strike, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth described the Iranian drone as a "squirter" — suggesting that the drone had managed to slip past the defenses of a fortified unit inside Kuwait.
In April, one of the injured soldiers told CBS News that "painting a picture that 'one squeaked through' is a falsehood." The soldier said the unit was "unprepared to provide any defense for itself. It was not a fortified position."

WASHINGTON, July 21 (Reuters) - The cost of the United States' war in Iran has risen to $37.5 billion ?so far, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Tuesday, as he faced skeptical lawmakers for the first time since heavy ?bombings resumed to seek urgent funding for the unpopular conflict.

So, again, what makes the Afghanistan withdrawal a failure but not Iran? The president knows more than you.

Yuge mistake. In the end, it will end up accomplishing nothing. The next four presidents will be dealing with the same shite.

They are the type you have to beat into submission, to the point where they are begging to negotiate. Anything less gets you exactly what we've been getting.
We are far from having them 'begging to negotiate.' At this point, they still have access to militias outside of their country, and dislodging the Iranians will have to involve a wider regional war, which no one but the Iranians want to fight.

We’ll have high oil prices for the next two years while we continue to put economic pressure on Iran. The only way we get a deal is with massive concessions.
But we don’t have high oil prices. They are just about where they were 2-3 years ago. We do have higher gas prices, but the decline slower than they rise. Over time, they will come in alignment with oil prices.
Many are in a rush to declare defeat for various reasons, many political. USA is facing a nation-state that has resources and it takes time. Trump does not help himself at all trying to declare a quick victory.
Overall, we are winning and this is winnable if we can trade for time. Refineries are the issues atm along with establishing new distribution lines. Once these issues are just partially solved, then the Straits become less and less important, along with Iran’s only card. It is their only card and it degrades over time as the markets figure out how to deliver products through emerging new distribution lines. It is somewhat just a math problem. Who has more time.

Than we can? Your have crossed over from ignorance to stupid.
Than we will? Now that is a good point. But we are still doing it. So until we give in/up we don't really know.

LOL.. BS.

Even their top people are calling you IGNORANT..
President Masoud Pezeshkian and Central Bank Governor Abdolnasser (also spelled Abdolnaser/Abdolnaser) Hemmati.
Pezeshkian personally approached Khamenei. He described economic conditions as dire, said the U.S. naval blockade was crippling, and indicated he would resign if the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)—aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz and extending the ceasefire—was not approved.
Hemmati sent a letter warning of a severe/acute budget crisis. He stated that Iran could not sell oil or use alternative trade routes at the necessary volumes and that critical food and medical supplies risked running out by late August 2026 if the blockade continued.
Do you see the whole picture yet?

1. Trump 2.0 is about enriching and doing favors for his friends and donors. The sooner you understand that, the more it makes sense. He doesn’t give a shite.
2. This board has been extremely delusional about the midterms. I have no clue why they thought 2024 somehow meant Dems could never win again.
I bet my last dollar that you picked Kamabla bla bla to win in '24. I predicted for months a Trump landslide. Repubs will keep both houses. Idiot.

I guess it all depends on how far along you think Iran’s nuclear program was at the time we hit them.

I think Trump waited too long to attack. This gave the time for the Iranians to clamp down on the protesters and kill the leaders of it.

Insane amount of cope in here. They are going down with the ship I guess. Even though trump doesn't give a single frick about them.
Winning!

And?
You act like we were going to just leave it at that.
This is and always has been about no nukes and no more terrorist funding and no more blackmailing of the world due to a strait.
Their own leadership is saying they are going to run out of supplies at the end of Aug.
