Wouldn't that apply to every opinion ever stated here?

Absolutely. I don’t advocate for or support abortion in the slightest. I don’t favor laws that criminalize abortion either. Laws are reactionary, not proactive.

But then doesn't that lie in contrast to Godly duty toward others? If you aren't advocating for the punishment of those who kill infants in the womb, how is allowing it any different than condoning it?

Yeah...seems to completely defeat the purpose

All you're doing at that point is making them incur travel expenses

No, you are doing what was the intent of the founders, which is allowing each state to make it's own laws. We even drill down to the municipal level in this country, with gambling laws, alcohol laws marijuana laws, gun laws, etc.

If Texas people can drive to Louisiana and gamble, why don't they just legalize it there.

If Chicago people can drive to Indiana and buy a gun, why not legalize it there. If Utah people can drive to Nevada and buy marijuana, then why not legalize it there.

There answer to all these questions is that the people who live there don't want it in their communities. I can disagree with that, of course.

Abortion is no different.

Are you insinuating that people are giving birth and raising children because of the barrier of driving a state or two over to get an abortion?

And for the record, I support state funded abortion and sterilization clinics on every corner - including cash payments for sterilization. I'm a feminist.

Once again, I didn’t create the eligibility criteria that may include some middle class children.

Once again, no one is saying you created the eligibility criteria.

The question you keep pretending not to see is WHY SHOULD LOUISIANA GIVE MIDDLE INCOME CHILDREN $40/MONTH AFTER FEEDING THEM ALL SCHOOL YEAR?

That is the only group this program will help. The actual poor children are already receiving SNAP.

That’s exactly what you are doing here. If it wasn’t, you wouldn’t have brought abortion into it but you did.

You are using the poor and unfortunate to try and push an agenda. You have some really compassionate sounding things to say, but you are blind to your own obvious intentions, which can be viewed in the subject of your thread.

Why? I rarely ever agree with the consensus here - does that mean I shouldn’t start threads that challenge the hive?

That's a pretty low hurdle to step over

People allow all sorts of things that they disagree with because it's more important to them to not force their beliefs on others

For example - drinking sodas with tons of added sugar is terrible for you and I don't personally consume those beverages anymore. But I don't believe that it should be outlawed.

I’ve never seen someone so committed to dishonesty who didn’t profit from lying perpetually. It’s almost impressive.

Go ahead, but don't be an intentionally disrespectful, provocative b!tch when you do it.

Also, be a serious poster if you seek serious answers.

You are not seeking a serious discussion, you are seeking argument.

Those arguments buffer your delusion that you are actually doing good in the world when you are doing the opposite.

Your biggest problem is that you are out of your league here.

You're used to posting on Reddit which is a pretty lowIQ hive.

On THIS board you are dealing with people much, much smarter than you and it shows.

You SUCK at making points, you're dishonest and your debating skills are more indicative of that of a High School Freshman than that of a supposed Teacher.

Of course not. I'm just saying as a general rule you can certainly allow something without condoning it. We do it all the time and don't give it much of a thought at all
