I already thought it would, as I figured a sizable chunk of those who were not voting Biden because he’s nearly dead and for that reason only, had already switched to Kamala and that has already been reflected in her polls
But the way in which he announced this endorsement, and the fire he brought to it, makes me think this might end up being way bigger than just that simple 2% I thought might happen

I doubt there are 50,000 never trump Republicans outside northern Virginia

I don't see how it helps. I really think it's a wash.
Democrats have been fighting like hell to get Kennedy excluded from the ballot. They were spending millions to get him removed from the ballot all over the map.
Well as of today, he's off the ballot.
I get the excitement because he endorsed Trump, not Harris but if his presence on the ballot helped Harris, why were they fighting so hard to have him removed. And now he has removed himself.

The lawsuits were filed before they shitcanned Biden.
Watch them fight to keep RFK Jr. on the ballot in swing states now.

RFK's endorsement took the news cycle away from the Dems...

There is no way that anyone with a brain, who is on the fence of who to vote for, wouldn’t be influenced by that RFKJr press conference. He pretty much destroyed the democrat party. A lot of independents and moderate democrats respect RFKJr and everything he said made sense. If the stats he provided can be validated, about the unhealthiness of our society, which I am sure they can, then everything he said is a big indictment on the direction of our Country.

precisely.
will CNN not play this at all or cut it off?
Imagine if you can, RFK Jr as dept of health calling out the CCP for the biochem attack Corona.
And then I woke up. but you're so correct about Kamala's fake speech being meaningless now.

Will it help Trump? Who knows, but hopefully it will.

Those are called Democrats.
John McCain sucked balls but I still voted for his arse.

This is not true at all and this is something someone would say if they had never traveled outside of the south. i'm not saying that's you, i am saying that it's probably you
Posted on 8/23/24 at 5:11 pm to TN Tygah
Well, then obviously let us know why that’s wrong….where all outside of the south you’ve been and traveled, who all you spoke with, and exactly what all they said on the matter(s). The suspense is killing me.

I'm split. I've heard many pollsters say it doesn't move the needle that much and the majority of his supporter's just won't vote.

When Kamala announced, Kennedy's numbers went from roughly 11% down to 5%ish.. presumably all of these were Democrats coming home because her numbers went up at the same time. It can be deduced that the remaining 5% were the ones leaning right that perhaps could be nudged to come over to the right side (double entendre intentional)
This could really help in a tight race.

It helps, but definitely shouldn't be assumed that all of RFK's supporters are going to Trump. A bunch won't vote, and some will go to Kamala.

Polls have Kamala up 1%. Trump outperformed polls by around 4% in both 2016 and 2020, so Trump is probably somewhere around +2-3%. This could take him to 4-5%, which is more than Obama won by in 2012.
Hope you're right. I just have trouble imagining someone who's open to Trump and against Kamala that switches from RFK to Trump. Seems like anyone who's open to Trump would be voting for him. It's such a polarized election.
Something else to consider would be that Kamala will need to be, for the most part, up by AT LEAST 2% in the general because the EC favors Republicans slightly.
Ultimately it comes down to Georgia and any one of PA MI and WI. If Trump wins Georgia, and splits NV/AZ (I think he will), he NEEDS one of those 3.

It doesn't hurt, that's for damn sure
