Even Susan Collins seems to be skeptical of this move by the Dems.

95%.

Or...we could give him the boot and put Pryor on the Court. I prefer him anyway.

She issued a statement asking why if they had this info 6 weeks ago did they not share it. Said releasing it now is unfair to both the accuser and Kavanaugh.

Keep it moving. Dims are trying anything possible to delay this until after midnight terms. It's pathetic

And the republicans will let them do it.

I’d say about 25%. The GOP will fold.

Because he's got something up his sleeve, you can bet on it. That orange bastard might already have some evidence to counter her story and he wants to let her bury her too in her mouth, much like the original #metoo child raping woman

Right..and it's meaningless. What does she have to lose?? Supporting evidence is not possible, it's all her "recollection" of 35 years ago. There is no perjury risk.

IMHO, the best that the Controlled Opposition (CO) GOP can do is to get a liberal female, homosexual male or tranny seated on the SCOTUS. I do not believe that the (CO)GOP has the desire to fight for anything more than that.

Collins statement this AM:
quote:

Collins questioned why Democrats had waited for weeks to come forward with the allegation, arguing it wasn't "fair" to either Kavanaugh or Christine Blasey Ford, who alleges that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in the early 1980s. “What is puzzling to me is the Democrats, by not bringing this out earlier, after having had this information for more than six weeks, have managed to cast a cloud of doubt on both the professor and the judge,” Collins told The New York Times. Collins asked if Democrats believed Ford, "why didn't they surface this information earlier," and if they didn't believe Ford, "why did they decide at the 11th hour to release it?" "It is really not fair to either of them the way it is was handled," Collins said.

He's going to be confirmed. It will either be now, or after the Rs pick up more Senate seats in November. The only question is if the upcoming Supreme Court season is short one Justice.

95%+ chance. There is a slim chance it gets so ugly that kavanaugh withdraws his name. But mcconnell and grassley will force him through.
