I used to be for legalization. But all the fricking annoying arse pot heads have convinced me that it should be kept illegal. Any drug that makes people melt as hard as you are, should definitely be schedule I.

This is the same logic that was used in the net neutrality argument. Making non-political issues political is one of the biggest problems with this country.

What kind of "undesirables"? Is it like a bunch of hobos on a street corner puffing joints? Every time I see someone using at a weed bar or something it's someone with relative intelligence and responsibility.

go too far (like Americans do with anything) - you know? Those folks who smoke as much as they can get their hands on - all day, every day if they can.

So let ban booze too then since we have to protect the massive because mistakes of the few.

The people who want to smoke all day everyday can very easily do that now. The smarter one just end up selling Ozs to pay for theirs

I oppose it, except for proven medical benefits.
I think cigarettes should be banned as well.

Opposing legalization is backwards. It simply is.

So your argument for non-legalization is based on your church and your bible.

I want your religion out of my laws and, in this case, eventual freedoms.

I've heard from friends and family that live there that you'll see A LOT of just generally trashy, unemployed/underemployed types smoking while driving, in pot shops in the middle of the day wearing cheetoh stained pajamas... that type of person. These people are losers and would be losers if pot didn't exist.

I don't think some of the older, teetotaler types on here realize these people will do what they do whether it's legal or not, and that's the life they're destined for. Pot rarely turns driven, ambitious people into losers.

I oppose weed legalization.

But I also pick and choose my battles, and this issue is a losing one, and one that in the larger scheme of things is not worth fighting.

So, if it becomes legal, will you STFU about it?

I mean ya. God forbid people are active in political issues they feel strongly about.

If they put Hilary in jail, will people stop saying she should be in jail?

My argument per the public promotion of MJ is not based on my Religious principle, Yak; it is based on the common sense/practical basis.

Do you smoke or get drunk in front of your children...even in a private setting? That is the basis for the whole argument in a nutshell. If you want to bear the potential Societal calamity of your children - or more so all the relatively ignorant/weaker brethren out there - and pay for it...then fine.

This is not Religion. My own choice to deny myself particular and harmless (to me) behaviors, for the cause of greater Societal good...is. I do not expect you to make such a choice. Nor does my choice hold any morally-superior or virtue-signaling aspects. Just plain old common sense. To each their own.

Honestly, given the future where a lot of people are going to be unemployed and have a lot of time on their hands...there will have to be a monumental vision/paradigm shift. And Vision, and MJ...are/can be essentially connected. Just a matter of WHICH (subjective) form of Vision. Some go to 'heaven'...some 'hell'. Both Visions are real; one joyful and full of hope...the other painful and seemingly hopeless.

Take this simple test, would you care if your parents were pot heads? Would you care if your siblings were pot heads? Would you care if your kids or adult children were pot heads? If you answered yes to any question you should be against drugs period.

You can be against people using drugs and still understand that it being illegal is an overall net negative for the country.

I am against all the above being fat but I am not going to ban Popeyes.

You educated you children on the realities of drug use just like you would booze and eating healthy.

I’ve been drug tested for all three of my jobs but that is because of the industry I am in. The vast majority of white caller jobs couldn’t get give a frick. No downtown CPA, lawyer, analyst, marketing or whatever is getting drug tested

You're telling me that based on your common sense, that we are, as a society, making our children weaker by going to a crawfish boil and drinking some beer while they play on the slip-n-slide? Come on, bruh.

You have your opinion and that's fine, but you are in the minority on this, by a mile.
