Medical use should be legalized, oils, edibles, but I'm tired of all the assholes who want it legal just so they can smoke.

Or would you just rather hide behind "Enforce all the laws!!!" or "Muh pot" like the mental simpleton that dinosaurs like Jeff Sessions are?
Why oppose nonsense and oppression.
Liquor and tobacco. Get in line.
I'd like to live in a Country where we don't arbitrary classify toxins.
They say sugar is more poisonous be than tobacco in deaths and Cocaine has the same effect on the brain as Sugar.

but legalization attracts undesirables.
It's really the opposite. If you decriminalize only, then you have a grey market run by your so-called undesirables. No quality control, no safe dispensaries etc.
Also, if you look at what CO has done with the tax money, you'd be a heartless moron to oppose their setup. $34k a year for therapy/care for special needs kids all funded by pot. That's per child. Per year. That's caring for people truly in need and employing those who provide that care. All funded by "sin" tax.
You guys need to get with the times on this one.

I don't give a shite what you do to your body, but if my kid asked me if smoking weed is safe I would simply say no!
According to the website Lung.org "Smoke is harmful to lung health. Whether from burning wood, tobacco or marijuana, toxins and carcinogens are released from the combustion of materials. Smoke from marijuana combustion has been shown to contain many of the same toxins, irritants and carcinogens as tobacco smoke."

I am a weed smoker.
I will continue to smoke weed without regard to its legality.
I am in favor of legalization.
It’s a wonderful substance and I despise federal paternalism.

That’s the story from the legalization side, but it also brings in a bunch of lowlifes and criminals...as well as cartels trying to hold market share.

Legalizing weed has become the gay marriage of drug laws. Those of us who don’t smoke by and large couldn’t care less what you do on your time as long as it doesn’t effect me. It’s when smokers start insisting that we feel the same way they do about it that gets so fricking annoying. It is really important to pot smokers. So, if it becomes legal, will you STFU about it?

I assume you mean legalizing weed.
I support legalizing weed
What does that have to do with Sessions? He didn't pass the laws and he's not the entity that's too chicken shite to change them

Why?

I've always been in favor of weed legalization based on the merit that it increases revenue, and limits arrests and jail time--hence less burden on our prisons. However, I do wonder what the true costs/benefits are. We see the obvious benefits: consumers get a product they want legally, govt collects revenue, businesses open. Yet, what about the costs? How much in negative externalities are created? Growing pot isn't pollution free and that places an external cost on all of us. Operating a business isn't cost less. Do these businesses make a profit? I think recall seeing where Washington dispensaries were actually losing money. Does anyone have any studies?
I do, however, totally understand the other side of the argument, or at least part of it. That side being the "I want it illegal because it makes you melt." I get it because some people just cry way too much about it and it's kind of funny.

I don't smoke or drink. I think it should be legalized. It is less deadly than alcohol.
Posted on 1/5/18 at 6:05 am to Sentrius
Is there a test/screening that can determine when the user last used similar to BAC in alcohol?
I’m ok with legalizing but I’m in the construction business and I don’t want impaired people on construction sites. If you can’t test for a window of usage then I would say a lot of industries would ban useage for employment.

Another great argument for legalization and safe dispensaries that have safely extracted concentrates and edibles.
I suggest moving away from the reefer madness propaganda and Prohibition-style hysteria and look at the economic realities. You may also branch out into studying cannabinoids and the receptors our bodies have for them.
The health benefits are very real, and thanks to big government, we are unable to explore them fully.
I despise the meme, "Wrong side of history," but if it applies anywhere, it's here.
eta: or just downvote and remain ignorant.

I oppose the legalization of weed for non medicinal use.
Posted on 1/5/18 at 6:26 am to Sentrius
I believe that the state's should have the right to decide. But if that is the case and it is legalized you need to change the federal law. Personally if my state were to vote, I would vote no on legalization.

I agree with this WHEN and ONLY WHEN the Feds change the current FEDERAL laws about it; until then put the blunt out and get back to work.
