Yes. I want it banned. There is no benefit derived from doping up that can't be found in the actual pills derived from the same formulas.

I don't want a bunch of freaking stoners around.

And yes - GET OFF MY GRASS!

Yes - and I would advocate for open season on any drug dealers. Shoot them on sight.

AND - if you find someone smoking pot in the public, arrest him and 'induce' him to reveal who he bought it from. If he does so - leading to a conviction - then his sentence would be reduced to a fine and probation. If not, sentence him to prison until his memory improves.

Screw any and all apologists for legalizing drug trafficking.

Smoke it if you grow it yourself - otherwise risk running afoul of the law.

Period.

We know. It is why we are against it.

You're telling me that based on your common sense, that we are, as a society, making our children weaker by going to a crawfish boil and drinking some beer while they play on the slip-n-slide? Come on, bruh. You have your opinion and that's fine, but you are in the minority on this, by a mile.

I essentially agree, Yak.

I'm positing the idea that along with legalization (implied justification) weak people being exposed to the (assumed) idea that drugs are not harmful...is highly problematic at the least. And we WILL pay for their problematic choices.

I rejoice in freedom, and the kind of relaxed psychological effect that drugs CAN offer in the back yard...but irresponsible parents who themselves have drawn that addictive gene...had best consider love and wisdom over indulgence and ease. Or risk their own children going over the edge. It is NOT a given that our children will exhibit strengths that we have; in fact, I perceive many are weaker...though maybe *better* in other ways.

It's all paradoxical in the Big Scheme.

Gotta work.

I disagree. When you see the effects, and they are negative we need policy based on the evidence.

Maybe someone has already asked this, so my bad if so but...

For those of you against legalization of marijuana, but are ok with alcohol being legal, what is your rationale for holding this position?

Not intended to be a flame, just curious.

Sometimes I feel like some people in this country want Prohibition to return.

Alcohol is way more dangerous than MJ, yet people here speak of the devils lettuce as if they think they are saving lives.

No. That's 100% false. In no shape or form will it reduce it. none.

What will happen is more will feel free to try it and more do it. Those that were will continue.

Drug lords will not go anywhere. They will simply under cut the prices. The same effect happens.

It's just business.
