If Trump releases his, I hope everyone in Congress goes through a full cavity search as to how they accumulated their wealth.

I don't care unless something substantial is uncovered.
My biggest issue with all of this is the double standard. They force him to turn over his financial records while Obama was able to seal is birth certificate. The fact that someone would even attempt to seal their birth certificate is just cause to investigate it. Tax returns though, well I don't go around sharing mine with my friends and family.

No. If he had some issues with them legally, the IRS would have hammered him when Obama was in office. They would have also leaked anything damning that wasn't illegal.

It's likely that there is nothing nefarious or questionable in his returns that would be a real bombshell, but that's not really the point.

Doesn't this have to do with some "investigation" the State of New York is doing on Trump, and not pertaining to presidential candidates releasing tax returns? My next step would be to show this so-called investigation serves no legitimate purpose, but is rather political in nature.

Most people don't give a shite about his taxes. Anyone with functional brain cells and knows how taxes work know that Trump used all of the laws to his advantage and has had international money coming and going for decades.

As a CPA, I wouldn't mind seeing them just to see what I could surmise, but I know I am not entitled to see them unless the owner of those taxes releases them.
