Does a Trump Win Shift Dems to Middle?

Assuming and hoping DJT wins... does it force the Dems to gravitate towards the middle? If they realize Americans have rejected their radical ideology do they return to their roots of old?

They would split into the socialist party (led by AOC) and the corporate/lobbyist grifter party (Clinton/Biden types).

If they were bright, yes.
They aren’t.
They are convinced that this will allow them to go further left and cut off the people holding them back from success, like what happened in 2010.

They would have to kick out 90% of their politicians and start over.
I would love to see pelosi/schumer try to move toward the middle, much less their real kooks.

They'll push harder and harder to the left until hopefully they all drown in the Pacific.

I think it’s more likely that it leads to them going further left and getting smaller but more radical. Any dems with common sense will see the further venture left as betrayal by their own party and will in turn pull a Donald trump and switch party allegiance

They are brighter than you think. For five decades they have been manipulating the immigration, at our southern border, which is bringing democrat voters to our country at a 2 to 1 rate. These immigrants have turned California to a reliable dem state. They have flipped New Mexico, and they are about to flip Texas (Texas is where California was in the early 1990’s).
The genius of Trump is that he realized he could not play the same demographic game with dwindling numbers, so he drove a wedge between the Reagan Democrats and the globalist dems. Now he is trying to split the black vote. Eventually this could happen. When it does, we can expect blacks to vote about 75-25 for the dems, which would represent their perceived financial interests rather than their current social ones. That doesn’t sound like much, but getting 25% of the black vote would make the Republicans the majority party.

Perhaps, in the short term to make gains in 2024. When they do get power once again, though, look out.
Unfortunately, I believe the U.S. will sooner or later undertake the socialist experiment, and as usual, it will fail. What happens after that, God only knows.

If there is money and power in it they will, if not they won't. They are pretty simple creatures to understand. My first sentence is a basic flow chart for every question you ever want to ask about them.

By now, I think we all know the definition of INSANITY.
And, the Democrap party has gone completely f*cking INSANE.

Nope. They will continue to steamroll to the left. They've gone all in to get power and if they do, they will not let go.

No chance. It pushes them off the spectrum

Pelosi is already toward the (left’s) middle. She is a canny politician who is threading a fine line to 1) hang onto her speakership and 2) increase the democrats’ representation. Remember, she tried mightily to stop Trump’s impeachment. She knew it to be a political loser. Once it became clear to her that if she did not push impeachment she would be replaced, she got on board.
Pelosi is a Swedish style socialist, not an AOC style commie.

I think it eliminates identity politics. Americans are tired of leftist bullshite and just want a president to handle trade, infrastructure, and national defense.
The dems will have lost any ability to cater to their base and will have to actually have policies worth voting on. Let's be honest... that aint happening.

No, a Trump win in 2016 pushed them further left. The Trump 2020 win will push them to the breaking point. These are not smart people.

No. I think the Democrat Party is dying. Old-style liberals no longer have a home there. Forget a true Center-Left politician like Joe Lieberman, who was effectively thrown out of the Democrat Party years ago. Look at how much SOTH Nancy Pelosi has been forced to change and move to the Far Left. She started out fighting the AOC types, and even wanted to reprimand Ilhan Omar for anti-Semitism. But, look at how Pelosi is acting now. A combination of TDS and her own party being hijacked by the Radical Left has rendered her batshit crazy.
The Democrat Party is now the party of Bernie Sanders and AOC, which means it is destined to be a fringe party at best.

Presidents are but passing characters in an endless procession. Presidents come and go but the Deep State marches on into perpetuity. God love Trump but a vote in this UniParty® charade is a vote for the left and right wing of our wholly corrupt national security apparatus.

Nope.
The radical progressives are now the largest cohort within the dem party.
They are not going back to the middle.
