I don't care to be honest

I think he just wanted to rustle jimmies, get some free press and promote his brand. He jumped at the chance. Then he accidentally won.

I don't know and neither does anyone else on this board. I'd like for there to be a full investigation as to what the Russians did to interfere in our election and if that leads to Trump or any of the folks in his campaign then so be it.

can we add a full review of how we secure our voting to harden against Russian rigging?

I don't even understand how this theory works. Is the theory that Trump and the Russians had a wink and a nod deal to use Russian hackers to hack the DNC and release through Wikileaks?
The general theory I've is Russia wanted US economic sanctions lifted. Trump's people met with Russian interests a handful of times during the campaign, and the assumption is they discussed lifting those sanctions if they won in exchange for Russia working to discredit Hillary and the DNC.
I don't think that theory is that outrageous, but I'll believe it when I see it.

I think the theory sounds more than plausible, and there is certainly a lot of interesting coincidences. But you can find coincidences in everything if you look.
I do think there is enough noise to warrant a full, complete and thorough investigation.
And there are a lot of people in washington that believe there is something there. The dems are pretty much making a full on bet that something is there.

You do not win 306 electoral votes by accident.

Trump openly called on the Russians to release anything they had on Hillary; damn MSM sure wouldn't. And there is NOTHING ILLEGAL in that act. Or even if any of Trump's surrogates said the same in private to any Russian.
The MSM/Dems/Obama Deep Staters are more of a danger to this Nation than Putin. And that is stinkin' FACT!

I don't know if Trump himself personally colluded with Russia, but I think its pretty obvious that Russia wanted Trump to win and that they assisted in the release of the DNC and Hillary e-mails

Doesn't matter, honestly. Innocent until proven guilty is the rule of the land, and it doesn't matter if I like or dislike the individual.

I got bored last night and jumped down the Louise Mensch/Claude Taylor Twitter rabbit hole. What they're saying is utterly outrageous. They claim the IC has Trump, Pence, Ryan, McConnell, Flynn, Sessions, Manafort, ALL on tape colluding with Russian agents. They say the bigger case isn't going to be the collusion, but the money laundering through Russian shell companies to conservative PACs and it implicates a large swath of Republicans in DC.
I hope the Dems aren't tying their cart to that angle of the story. If that is true, holy hell the furor it would unleash, from both sides.

Collude to do what? This is a no.

Yeah, their claims are quite bold. Mensch at least caveats teh frick out of them. Claude Taylor is a bit more bold.
Rick wilson is in on it. I can't stand rick wilson, but he is not looney toons the best I can tell. Joy reid sticks her toe in it too, but hasn't put it on her show just yet.
And I think there is a fair bit of smoke around the money laundering bit. They raided that consulting place, and the owner said it was for "fundraising" practices. Plus the subponeas were for financial records of flynn's associates. And this ties to the concept there is a RICO investigation going on. But that is just smoke and there could be other explanations. At least I hope so.

It would be the single biggest corruption scandal in US history.

Yes. I absolutely believe the Russians picked the longest of longshots to win the presidency, a man doing know for doing shite his way and turned him into a Russian agent. The best part is that they were able to pull this off in less than 2 years.

That's going on the theory that anything that was released just prior to the election is what influenced the results. On the contrary, Clinton has no one to blame but herself for her strategic mistakes:
- historically disliked
- possessed a singular campaign strategy: attack Donald Trump
- disparaged Trump voters
- devoted resources in states she did not need to win (e.g., Arizona), rather than shoring up support in deep-blue states, notably the Rust Belt, that she did need
- failed to address the email issue swiftly; instead, it kept coming up and coming up
- Dems failed to get out and vote
People may have been repulsed by Trump. Some hated him. But they voted for him anyway, because they were angry and frustrated. A third consecutive Democrat term wasn't in the cards.
It had nothing to do with Russian collusion.
