Virtually all of the Founding Fathers would be considered Libertarians.

So you're advocating for not doing things because they are difficult?
Um no
Not what I said, just the opposite
Just frustrated hearing certain groups whine about various issues, but if you told them what would need to occur to actually implement said policies, they would run away and call you an authoritarian!

To be honest I think most people don’t know.
I’ve done a deep dive into the far left (anarcho commie left) and still don’t know why some things are the way they are.
Most people have lives, until those things affect normal day people it’ll probably stay that way.

My feelings aren’t that we should be anarcho-capitalists or anything silly like that. I just see government causing so many problems by going beyond the power granted under Article 1, Section 8. I am not the small l libertarian I used to be, but I still see many areas where moving towards libertarianism would be drastically beneficial vs the status quo. On the flip side, I see the necessity of many things in government that I did not understand in my twenties.

Why is force needed?
Are you under the impression we can democratically vote our way out of the debt bubble?
Or to end the Fed?
Or to stop printing money?
Explain?
Will women and immigrants vote for politicians willing to do this?
Will the judiciary allow these measure to take place?

How do we collectively move towards “libertarianism” with the makeup and demographics of the current electorate?
Will the newly imported immigrants, anchor babies, and fresh out of college single women be voting for these “libertarian” ideas?
Thats great you think these theories would be good and work. But explain how to get the theories in motion?

Not really, or at least not in our modern sense
Capital Punishment was widely popular for crimes like Robbery, adultery, sodomy/homosexuality, etc
The founding fathers understanding of the word liberty was different than the modern understanding
The classical understanding of liberty is freedom to do “what you aught to do”. Not necessarily freedom to do whatever you want to do

Of course not, and they’re not going to vote for conservatives regardless. Trying to bend over backwards for the approval of people who would as soon set you on fire is how the gop got itself in this mess to begin with.
Immigration enforcement and naturalization is a power of
Congress under Article 1, Section 8. The federal government should be mass deporting people, and getting warrants to do so. The feds have the power to make a reasonable process.
It is the federal government that made the byzantine employment laws that created corporate hr culture and DEI. It is the federal government which must abolish those regulations.
It is the federal government’s funding that created and sustains most of the woke college crap that turns our young ladies into radical psycho communists. Congress can eliminate these programs and defund them. They are astroturf and will die quickly and loudly without government subsidies and federally backed student loans.
It is the federal NEPA that has stopped infrastructure development in this country, and the federal government can eliminate or massively streamline NEPA so things can actually get built here again.
It is the federal government that is subsidizing rent for illegal immigrants. It is the federal government disincentivizing local schools from disciplining disruptive children, it is the federal government directing banks and corporations to de platform problematic individuals, it is the federal government funding corposlop media while protecting it from competition, it is the federal government neglecting its anti-trust laws and allowing for monopolies to crush supply food supply chains, it is the federal government arbitrarily stopping expansion of electrical grids, it is the federal government stopping locals from building proper flood control systems, it is the federal government funding NGO’s that elect hug-a-thug DA’s and judges, it is the federal government who took away your light bulbs and appliances that actually worked, it is the federal government who won’t let automakers sell you a small pickup truck, it is the federal government that sets price floors in the rental markets with Section 8, it is the federal government causing the problems and then gaslighting anyone who tries to stop them.
If you want to start small, start with NEPA, the Jones Act, higher education funding, appliances regs, employment law, fuel economy regulations, section 8, etc.
I haven’t even started on the only parts of the federal budget that actually matter financially either: social security, Medicare, medicaid, defense, and service on debt.

Did Rand not pull Fauci in front of Congress and create grounds to charge him with contempt?

You think libertarians are going to fight the left in those areas? Do you know what libertarians believe?

I can assure you that if either man were alive today, they’d be considered a Libertarian. We are so far removed from their idea of what gov’t should be…
