Do most people realize how bad of a day the Dems had yesterday?

It’s just starting to sink in. They were going to brag about her boost in the polls and ride that wave all the way to November. Now Rasmussen gets to torch 538 if they try to keep the charade going.
The only thing they have left is the debate unless they can manufacture something else big to get her national attention again.

They know the debates are going to be a disaster. Comrade Kamala can’t even handle softball questions. She will have the deck stacked for her and still end up losing control when Trump hits her with a zinger.

I was reading that Harris has decided to postpone her first press conference/interview once again.
The American people won’t hear from her until at least SEPTEMBER.
I’ve also read she’s predisposed to anxiety. I’m not sure she can handle a 1 v 1 with anyone competent. Look at what Tulsi did to her.

Trump is a mediocre debater. Where he excels is if he can directly engage his opponents. They tend to lose their composure, and I’m sure Kamala would. But I bet the ABC debate rules will make direct engagement forbidden.

If Harris',s numbers drop off significantly, I would expect another assassination attempt on Trump.

This is the correct answer.
Trump rambles, insults, and brags instead of engaging on issues. The insults sometimes rattle the opponent. The bragging just gives the media lists of "lies" to report on after the debate.
And you are correct. Whoever hosts the debate is not going to let Trump use his only debate weapon.

And that will either save the election for them or ensure a Mondale sized beating for them.
I honestly don't know which.
It's definitely a pushing all the chips to the center of the table move, though.
