re: Do anti-vaxers who seem to cherish the thought of complications realize what that means?

It’s not quite as bad as his “the unvaccinated should be sued for delaying medical care.” It’s in second place for now.
Wait.
There wasn't a thread like this. You're f'n with us, right?

Show me a verified link about this, with a real peer-reviewed study.
quote:
Myocarditis and pericarditis after COVID-19 vaccination are rare. Myocarditis is inflammation of the heart muscle, and pericarditis is inflammation of the outer lining of the heart. Most patients with myocarditis or pericarditis after COVID-19 vaccination responded well to medicine and rest and felt better quickly. As of January 6, 2022, VAERS has received 2,077 preliminary reports of myocarditis or pericarditis among people ages 30 years and younger who received COVID-19 vaccines.
That number is what they know of as of January 6. There could be many more they don’t know about.
quote:
Reports of death after COVID-19 vaccination are rare. FDA requires healthcare providers to report any death after COVID-19 vaccination to VAERS, even if it’s unclear whether the vaccine was the cause. Reports of adverse events to VAERS following vaccination, including deaths, do not necessarily mean that a vaccine caused a health problem. More than 520 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through January 10, 2022. During this time, VAERS received 11,225 reports of death (0.0022%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine. CDC and FDA clinicians review reports of death to VAERS including death certificates, autopsy, and medical records.
CDC LINK
So while the chance of dying from the vaccine is slim, so is the chance of dying from covid. We know they are over reporting the deaths from covid as actually deaths with covid, so a true number for that is hard to come by. Either way, you have less than 1% chance of dying from covid and the vaccine. I would love to see the true numbers from both but unfortunately we will never get those numbers.

It’s political football taken to its logical conclusion, hoping everyone on the other side dies.

Because given how odd myocarditis is in a young person, it's a damned good question!

He comes here to hone his debating skills by stating a position and then arguing in fvavor of that position. He probably bills someone for the hours he spends here.

Well I’m an anomaly then because I’m vaccinated, don’t believe in mandates and don’t wish death on either side

That might not have been it exactly. But it was in the ballpark.

I wonder about that with 3/4 of the attorneys on this board.

I don’t know how to explain but I don’t think literally everything related to Covid is driven by politics. There absolutely has been a ton of over reach though. But it’s hive mind and tribal to boil everything Covid down to an us vs them political battle.
Then you really don't believe it's conspiratorial to believe politics drives Covid/Covid policy, you just don't like it and don't think it's true 100%. Maybe more like 98%?

I don’t agree with this. I’m not saying everyone should get vaccinated. I don’t care if you do or not. But I definitely believe the vaccines have helped many people’s symptoms and to help them beat it.
I didn't ask about an 80 with COPD. I asked about a healthy/fit 40 yo.
Nearly nobody argues that those at risk of the virus shouldn't be vaccinated. But that's a far cry from a healthy/fit 40 yo.

I believe the lawsuit thread was about the parents who knowingly let their infected child go to a prom. This was also at the height of the early pandemic so 20 months ago?

Is this not the hope of Covidians for the unvaxxed? Why would the unvaxxed hope for complications from the virus? I don't think you thought this through
JFC no. I don't want anyone else to suffer, and I also don't want me to suffer if I need an "elective" surgery.

A common theme of anti-vaxxers today is celebrating deaths that may, potentially, somehow be linked to vaccination status
So, you're gonna open a thread by starting with an asinine assumption? I believe that is called a false narrative. Congrats genius!

Results of what mRNA did to lab animals has been reported. If one chooses to be a lab animal there is nothing anyone can do.

You are truly SLOW. An Ignorant a-hole who does not know what the hell you are talking about.

lso, there is a very common theme of hoping and praying that serious complications (sometimes cardiac, sometimes immunodeficiencies) do arise. It's somewhat of a blood lust where they truly do hope that all sorts of terrible side effects happen as a result of the virus.
DUMBASS!

We're not cheering it on.
We're just pointing out the complete f*cking insanity of mandating these f*cking poisons when we now KNOW FOR A F*CKING FACT that they are killing people.
And something that does not keep you from getting covid.
People would probably be more receptive if it actually worked.
