Honestly they need to scrap it completely.

Daily Wire made them quit. They were going to release a true to origin Snow White with Brett Cooper as Snow White.

Disney is going to wave a white flag on Brie when The Marvels tanks.
They have been trying and failing to make people like her for years. And it does not help that poorly received material like Secret Invasion was clearly a Captain Marvel sequel retasked into a series.
Having The Marvels repeatedly get pushed back and a run time which is the shortest of all MCU films is not a vote of confidence in it or her.
