Glad I don't have one of their cards. What a bullshite move on their part. It's as if they have already decided the kid is guilty. Damn.

Discover Financial Services has blocked customers from making donations on a Christian crowdfunding site that was raising money for accused Kenosha gunman Kyle Rittenhouse, a report said.

GiveSendGo has raised more than $380,000 for the 17-year-old, who has been receiving support in some conservative circles who claim he acted in self-defense when he fatally shot two protesters with an AR-15 style rifle during a chaotic night following the shooting of Jacob Blake.

The credit card company, in emails to Forbes, said the action was taken for operating regulation violations. The violation wasn't explained.

And what happens to the $380K?

Refunded?

Or does Kyle get that?

I've kept a discover card for over 25 years but used it only as a backup when merchants do not except Amex (maybe 5-6 purchases annually). Looks like I need to swap to another backup card.

I do not think that's the case.

I don't think the article stated that all the 380 had been funded by using a Discover card.

It's really strange to watch the left weaponize these large corporations and banks after decades of calling for their destruction

That could be true, but they were also one of those companies that would not deny college students cards.

They were my first credit card when I was in college. Always kept me at a high interest rate because I signed up when I was 18 and had no credit. They didn't care that I have other CC w/ lower rates, kept me over 20%. I think they eventually closed my card after years of inactivity.

Ah I see.

So Kyle has received $380K in donations but all attempts to make a donation with Discover Card have been blocked.

if a person or business does something that the herd dislikes, there simply MUST be some inherent flaw in that person or business.

You need to pay more attention to nature itself. The herd always win. That's how they survive. It's only when man bucks that trend that things start falling apart.

I'm waiting for some huge banks to come out and say that they will not allow people to use the bank card to donate their own money to Kyle rittenhouse.

It’s actually kind of Kafkaesque to see their full fury turned on one 17 year old kid who dared to fight back.

Sent in $100 for that poor kid. Thank God there are still a few American patriots left. I've talked to several cops about this and they agree he's an American hero but know they can't get too loud about it.

The attorney, Lin will become a millionaire from just this case and Sandman. They may be a private institution but this could be obstruction of justice. I would love to see in their lengthy disclosure notice where you sign up for credit that they can shite you down for this reason.
