Well the issue here is that Joe Kent is a 2024 campaign era MAGA political figure.
You can’t be a 2026 era MAGA person and a 2024 campaign era MAGA person and be consistent when it comes to foreign intervention so he had to go.
The arbiter of MAGA shifted so you either had to decide that your faith was never to policy but to a person (Trump = MAGA, AF = policy) or leave MAGA even if you align on 60-80% of his agenda.
Joe Kent will be welcomed by the AF right because he clearly meant what he was saying during the 2024 campaign and unlike the other high profile candidates won’t have to explain to the coalition that won 2024 for MAGA and the GOPe Congress why they governed as they did after promising to do otherwise.
It’s actually the same thing that happened circa 2018 when the GOPe and Kushner purged the actual populists from the WH last go around, they’re just a little ahead of schedule.

I think he’s making a mistake. You can do more good inside than out. Someday he’ll wish he had stayed and effected change. He’ll lose supporters over time and won’t have a platform. Really liked him but all this does is give ammo to leftist agendas and now is not the time for that

It's entirely possible to think that Trump has radically departed from his entire foreign policy pitch AND think that Iran had it coming, hope the US is successful in regime change, and think taking Iran off the board for Russia/China slots in well with our Fortress Americas agenda.
