All politicians lie - Biden made up stories about his life every time he talked.

Trump embellishes but he does so because he wants a good outcome. He grew up going to the power of positive thinking guy's church. Norman Vincent Peal - That's why it's always "the best, greatest..." Once you know this it's easier to understand him. Judging by his unprecedented accomplishments (billionaire - # tv show - Built amazing buildings and gold courses - president without ever running for anything) it seems to work.

So I really don't care about what he says - because I know his policies are what this country needs - I'd rather have a blowhard that does great things than a great speaker that is a communist and wants to destroy the country. The choice in this election couldn't be easier as far as what is best for the country long term and that is Trump.

I'm confident Trump is lying because his orange lips are moving.

He also said in that same speech YESTERDAY that his Jan. 6 crowd was the largest crowd he had ever spoken in front of* and that that crowd was larger than the crowd for Dr. Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" speech.

*His inauguration crowd was larger. Not as large as President Obama's, which infuriated him, prompting him to send out Sean Spicer to contend otherwise.

So, we don't have to take anyone's word for this one. Anyone believe Trump's Jan. 6 crowd as as big as the crowd for King speech? Anyone? Or is that question too difficult?

It's funny. I went to Google Willie Brown just because i was curious about what years he was mayor of SF, and I get Big Headline "hits" from every "mainstream" news source, as if this stupid shite is one of the biggest stories in the world at the moment.

You sure?

He's a lot of things, but bullshitter is one of them. One of his staunchest defenders here said STTE of "Listen to his message, not his words". It's not a huge deal to me, but I don't understand people who try to deny it.

During Trump's news conference yesterday, he told a story about "going down" in a helicopter with Willie Brown, former mayor of San Francisco. As far as Trump being with Willie Brown?

Trump was a beloved character in the Hollywood/pop culture scene during the 1980's-2015, he could have been with any number of famous people 20-30 years ago in CA including Willie Brown. Trump has/had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and he was a big part of that scene prior to running for the presidency as a republican.

Let's say for whatever reason Trump knowingly flat out lied, personally I think that's a real issue with personal integrity when someone looks you in the eye and lies, if Trump did this with his Willie Brown helicopter story it's not good.

I would like to hear from others who were involved in this story because if a helicopter had a mechanical malfunction or pilot error that caused it to make an emergency landing we know the FAA will have an official record of the event. Before I rail against Trump for an alleged lie I would like to read the official FAA record of the event because there has to be one on file somewhere. I've made the mistake in the past trusting those in the media and those who hate Trump claiming Trump lied about this or that and later it turns out Trump was right, he was telling the truth, I don't make that mistake anymore and neither should you.

Disingenuous much? You might as well have framed it as "heads I win, tails you lose".

And you probably consider yourself objective.

Unfortunately, this leads to the next question- which politician of this scale can I support without encountering the problem?

Genuinely, looking for a name

Unless you have one the next question is do we just support no one, or do we all continue to buy the lies?

It’s not super exciting either way but I’m not seeing a moral high ground of supporting the honest person as an immediate option either

I truly want to someone to explain this to me. Please, answer the question I ask. Don't reply with "but somebody else lied once ..."

AT the time, the story made no sense, because why would Trump be with Willie Brown? Anyway, Brown later said it never happened. Said he had never been in a helicopter with Trump.

So, if Trump will just make up a story like that, when there is no reason whatsoever to do so, how can you believe him when he talks about something important?

There are really only two answers. One, you believe he is telling the truth and your eyes and ears and everyone else is lying. Two, you know he's lying, but you don't care for whatever reason. So, which is it?

First Willie Brown is a dumrat so is not credible in any way. Since we all know nothing the left puts out there is true why do you believe them? Tardistan is looking for it's special ed window licker, you better check in.

Yeah. There’s precious few congresspersons who value personal integrity. Most have become so accustomed to lying that they forget they’re doing it.
