System people are all about preserving and protecting the system.
Doesn’t matter if the system itself has become rotten to the core.
Roberts is a system guy.

The president cannot impeach a judge himself. Trump saying that a judge SHOULD be impeached has nothing to do with separation of powers or of checks and balances.
There is nothing to "check" based on verbiage. This is no different than when a member of congress says that Trump should be removed from office, or arrested or worse -- which happens almost every day.
For some reason we give judges more reverence than actual elected officials.

I agree with President Trump ignoring Boasberg’s “order” and deporting the gang members.
I also agree with Roberts that Presidents shouldn’t just be able to impeach judges they disagree with.
Should President have been allowed to impeach the Federal judge who told him his administration had to hold Federal oil lease sales?
Are with good with (God forbid) President Gavin Newsom throwing conservative Federal judges off the bench?

Did Roberts just put that out there in a social media post of his own impetus or was he asked about?

Last I checked it is not how the process works, so your panties being in a wad is over nothing...
Congress CAN start impeachment proceedings for judges that have done wrong and repeatedly overstepped their bounds... The case can be made that this nutjob judge has done much more...

Carte Blanche means blank check, right?
What blank check do you think Trump is using, exactly?
What he IS using was written, voted upon, signed, sealed and delivered under previous office holders across congress, the senate and the executive.

Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts just fired back at Trump
Maybe, but I think his statement is also a subtle warning for these rogue US District judges.

I’m good starting there. I’ll give the President and Congress my permission.

Separation of powers is working.
Judicial branch checks the activity of the executive.
The executive appeals to the legislative to due the potential political bias of said judicial branch representative.
Legislative branch decides to impeach or not.
Meanwhile, appellate judge in judicial branch corrects or upholds its own.
Executive deals with the outcome.

Ok...but is it a legal option?? Lefties have thrown centuries of precedent out the door, so here you go Roberts.
Gawd I wish Trump would "nudge" him into retirement. We need a legit chief justices.

What? The president does not have that power. This is something Congress DOES have the power to do under our Constitution.
So your premise is wrong.

Well start calling up these rediculous cases and over turning them. POTUS has clear powers to deport ANY illegal aliens. Especially, these thugs.

I completely disagree. It’s all a political process. If the people don’t agree or support the president or member of congress, the political remedy is to vote them out. If Congress and the president don’t like the conduct of a judicial appointee, then impeach them and vote them out if you can overcome a 2/3’s majority to do so. Democracy works when everyone’s feet are held to the fire including judges. IMO it would force the judiciary to interpret the law and away from this ridiculous legislating from the bench advocacy that many feel they are entitled to do.
John Roberts is the biggest clown of all when he exposed himself by proclaiming Obamacare was simply a tax and therefore legal. In a just world he should have been immediately impeached, stripped of his robe and ran out of town in shame for that ridiculous ruling. The guy can frick right off because he deserves every single ounce of criticism that comes his way.

Chief Justice Roberts and Boasberg are thick as thieves.
Has Chief Justice ever opined about the FISA court abuses? Even after Obama got a 99 page dress down? I think not.
I think Roberts wants a judicial crisis.
This is what I was afraid of. Mike is usually not like this...

And for over two centuries we didn’t go after political opponents via judiciary.

Roberts is correct. You can't impeach a federal judge simply because you don't like his ruling. That's something a Democrat would do.
