We really need to fund a true socialist/commie for president to take some votes away from the Dems.

May be the only way forward to keep one party from ruling forever.

The republicans don't care. Only the HFC and Rand Paul care.

I know the constitution doesn’t really matter in 2022 but this seems unconstitutional.

The next time Dick Morris is right about something will be the first time he’s right about something.

They will make it so that all redistricting plans will have to be approved by the Justice Department.

I won't say it will pass, but the fact Dems want it badly is more evidence 2020 was a rigged election. If people can't connect the dots on this it's only because they don't want to or they're just plain stupid.

So, if they can pick and choose when to suspend the filibuster, why don’t they do it every time they really want to get something done? Why didn’t they do it for the bbb plan? Do republicans ever use this to get shite done? I think I know the answer, but am asking anyway.

I just listened to his Lunch Alert and he says Manchin and Sinema will allow a carve out of the filibuster as it regards voting rights bills

Sinema has consistently said she opposes doing this because then Republicans will just do the same thing, repeal it, and impose national voter ID laws. Then every time control of Congress changes the law would change. She supports the bill but opposes the method to pass it and has not wavered on that so far. I just don't see it happening.

If this becomes “law” next November won’t matter.

I don't think anything will happen. Here's why.

As long as they can keep the illusion that this country's problems can be fixed with elections, they can continue to f*ck us over. Take that away and they could be in trouble. You will start seeing true revolts.

Why the frick can’t Republicans print votes as well, stupid or something?

Because unlike Democratic cheaters, Republicans would be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent in federal court. Same goes for the “let’s just stop paying taxes” idea.

If they pass on MLK day, they will fire up the base and they will go into overdrive to register as many of the 2 million immigrants that came in since January, 2021. The changes would go into effect immediately.

I'm always amused at the benign names of these things dems try (and sometimes do) to pass. "Affordable Care Act," "voting rights act," or
"save the puppies act."

It's not just the dems, its the repubs too.

USA PATRIOT act tops the list of lies.

Dems are trying to get slaughtered in the mid terms. The last time major legislation was passed in an election year was Obamacare in 2010 and Democrats got destroyed in November. It’s why they normally don’t pass any major legislation in an election year.

The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.

The underlined part is a real frick up by our founding fathers.
