Wait what lol. You couldn’t turn on a TV and hear that guy’s name without his rank. Both sides love to play up a Troop angle when they can.

Can you blame them? The damn things go off by themselves, killing Joes in basic training. Every. Day.

Where's the dumbshit from the other thread who said he wasn't pointing it at Sgt Perry?

Did he have less a right to carry a weapon than these folks?
Granted, he played a stupid game and won a stupid prize, but that is an entirely different question than the one you asked.
Read again. I didn't question his right to carry (although I am very surprised that you support the 2nd).
I questioned why openly carry in the middle of a (supposedly) peaceful protest not that it was illegal to do so.

It is a point that needs emphasizing.
He had a right to carry. He had the right to carry a rifle at a “peaceful” protest.
Yet he did not have a right to block and impede traffic. And he did not have a right to mob a car while raising a rife out of the half-ready position.
Which all leads to the main point: we are discussing his “rights” in the past tense because he FA&FO the hard way.

Why even bring an AK to a "peaceful" protest?

You would think we would have pulled the bull pup from our inventory by now. I personally am terrified to touch it.

To shoot at cops attempting to impede to protest.

Agreed - there was nothing wrong with carrying a rifle, but it appears he was looking for trouble - or at least wanted to feel powerful and important.
If you shoulder a rifle and point it at someone, that person has every reason to fear for their life, and every reason to defend themselves.
The deceased, not that I know them, come across as an immature child, playing dress up.
And that appears to be common among these protesters.
They’re man childs. Boys who never grew up to be men. And it’s a huge problem in western culture. We have a lot of these people who are stuck in a perpetual childhood.
In this case, it got him killed.

If I was still in uniform and wearing one, I would refer to him as Lt Colonel.
As I am not, I can voice my opinion of him and refuse to offer any modicum of respect. He does not deserve my respect because he disregarded the chain of command and used his military position to further a political agenda.
To compare Sergeant Daniel Perry to Mr. Vindeman makes sense, at least to those of us that were trained by and served in US military.

It has now been confirmed by several witnesses that this individual with the assault rifle then began to raise the assault rifle toward Sgt. Perry.
Where is the poster that argued with everyone that there was no proof this dumbass had the rifle in a ready position and when shown photographic evidence still argued that there was no definitive proof it was him or a rifle in the pic?

The problem, however, is that he seems to have been on the opposite side of the vehicle versus what was described by the driver. Perhaps the parties moved around a bit before the actual shooting.
