Well, I've learn that you can't identify the sounds of an AK from a video. In the first thread about this, just about everyone and their mother was saying the first shots were from the AK.
Apparently the dead dude with the AK never got off a shot. The first shots were by the driver. Second rally of shots was by another "protester" shooting at the car.

Yeah, there's too much that changes sound in different environments. It's not the same as being at the range, and location and quality of mic. are huge too.

Firing between downtown high rises like that, on asphalt, surely messes with the acoustics.
