The focus and involvement and money spent on things like TikTok, Instagram, OnlyFans, and Snapchat says different.

Why would anyone click on a blind link with that title of thread?

If the goal is misery you are correct.

I read the link and David Brooks is a good writer on pop culture who knows nothing at all about politics. Here is the problem:
He is essentially saying 'If it bleeds...it leads.' OK, the press historically does this to get attention.
His conclusion is 'Therefore, everything is actually fine.'
He knows nothing about history. A lot of the time everything is horrifically wrong. This is one of them. He is writing a piece that would make Baghdad Bob proud.

If, by on the right track, you mean transforming into a third world socialist hellhole, with sub-human side show freaks, then yes, we’re on the right track.
If you mean on the right track to get back to the greatest country on Earth, then no, we’re going in the wrong direction.

I can’t even respond to this. Too subjective.

Its an opinion piece by the propagandist David Brooks in the Atlantic.
You should have know it was bullshite from the start.

David Brooks is an idiot and a fool.

You big on trying to trans children? Is that the utopia for a dumb late-middle age woman such as yourself?

Yes. When these and a few others go away we may be heading on the right track. Technology is great, but it will be the downfall of many. Weigh your pros and cons.

Correct. The Atlantic paid a guy thousands of dollars to pen general knowledge that either you nor I could have done.

I'm trying to buy a house, and in no way shape or form is that even close to being the right track. Products are basically doubling in cost.

America has become a cess pool of sexual deviancy, immorality, and pedophilia. Our God given rights are being infringed upon, or taken away, at an increasingly rapid rate every single year. "Our" government is/has been a corporate conglomerate for decades, and is in business for itself, not the People that it's supposed to work FOR/represent.
NO, America is not on the right track. I liken it to a runaway train headed down hill, straight towards the fires of hell....and I take zero pleasure in saying that.

Of course you read the Atlantic.

I figured it might make for an interesting discussion.

I feel for you. If you’re in Louisiana, just wait until you get homeowners insurance quotes. It’s unsustainable. Everything is getting so expensive.
We’re inundated with deviance and corruption. It doesn’t feel like we’re on the right track.

Well he's not wrong in that we're mostly led by the nose through the media/government connections. The job of interest groups is to create a need and the best way to do that is through fear.
But he's wrong in the regard that "this has been going on forever" so its no big deal. There's plenty of real indicators that suggest the near future most likely will indeed suck badly.

Any time I see someone is from the northeast, I automatically assume they are politically retarded
