quote:Yep. Soro's is the Kevin Bacon of geo-politics. He is linked to everything.
Almost everyone know this, I think.
Posting Soros' name is just flinging shite on the poly board.
The point with DeSantis is that Wall St won't allow him America first.
Trump could GAF what Wall St thinks regarding trade and geo-politics; to the point of them gas light Nixoning Trump and wanting to JFK him to prison to rot.
They want it to appear as if Trump puts 'democracy' at stake. As they serve their own self interests in DC.

only reason DeSantis has a career in politics is because he covered up scandals in Guantanamo and Iraq for Bush. Then you come to understand who this empty suit script reader works for
Yeah...I guess I'll just ignore the last 5 year of actual results and vote based on your conjecture

Right. He's an empty suit who only does what his puppet masters tell him but he has made Florida the best state in the nation by pushing conservative principles. He is beholden to his donors apparently but he has actively fought against one of his biggest donors, Disney, for years.
This is just a ridiculous thread as evidenced by even CajunAngelle and Gumbo saying the Soros link here is dumb.

Not all Soros partners are like him. Jim Rogers was a pretty good guy

BTW, it is CNBC that makes the link to Soros.
Here is the deal. Both Trump and Ron will take donations from who ever wants give them donations. I'm not naïve about that and it would be dumb not to accept those donations unless they came form a known child molester or Putin.
All donors expect something in return. Are all donors expectations met? No. Of course not.
But here is the difference between Ron and Don in terms of meeting donors expectations. Don has an ideological track record on issues like trade and foreign policy. In fact his over arching principle, "is it a good deal for America?" That is it. Because there is SO MUCH at stake on the policy issues concerning trade and foreign policy selecting the best deal for America and the American people IS NOT THE BEST DEAL FOR DC AND WALL STREET donors.
Can Trump be influenced? Absolutely. But when he is challenged by the media on a topic that is bad for the nation he always response, "no, I'm not doing that." The issues that he can be influenced on are mostly social issues. The good news on social issues he has been pushed pretty damn far right and he seems okay with it. But he will not budge on fiscal, trade or foreign policy issues that hurt the American worker/people/nation. It has to be a good deal. He will not accept bad deals.
That drives DC and Wall Street nuts. Bad deals in DC usually mean easy money for DC and Wall Street.
This is not a trait of Ron. In fact when Ron flipflopped on his Ukraine position recently, this was indicative of a typical politician that, at the end of the day, serves DC. Talks a good game but when the rubber hits the road DC and Wall Street are getting theirs.

Derp
He's had several donors already comment on not supporting him because he didn't do what they wanted, including, gasp, Ken Griffin.
DISNEY donated to him

Its a bold faced lie that he "flip flopped" on Ukraine.
His main position did not change in any ostensible way.

Trump was raking in the Wall Street money for his “self funded” campaigns. They’ve moved away from him bc they know he can’t win.

They’re very conveniently ignoring that thread.

Yeah, and he considers the second amendment a social issue.
I've said the same thing here (and of course got downvoted for it), and you're correct. Trade and war, he'll hold. The problem is there are a lot of issues outside of trade and war, and he'll stick his finger in the air for those.
