When push comes to shove, the vertically-challenged little dude is all about himself. Very good Governor, but he's basically doing everything he can to destroy his credibility.

Oh, and go right ahead, RD simps. I've gotten a taste of your insanity the past couple of days. You fools actually think that this midget could do a better job as President than Trump! LOL!

DeSantis will always be a not-ready-for-primetime player on the national stage. If he even thinks about running in 2028, J.D. wil humiliate him.

I'm not around much these days so a favor to ask - would you name the posters that have voiced support for Casey DeSantis to run for governor?

I found it. There wasn't much Casey talk but he did take a shot at Donalds, so obviously sounds like there is bad blood there remaining.

Given the R control of FL I'd think they'd have better folks in the wings. As it is, neither choice is very appealing. I've never heard any basis for Casey being a serious candidate. The most attractive part of that, if at all, is that the best governor of a generation essentially remains the shadow governor.

I haven't seen Donalds say or do anything impressive/meaningful. Him being uninvolved in the best gubernatorial tenure in modern history is a very valid consideration IMO. I suspect he'd probably be fine, and almost anyone is going to be a step down.

If DeSantis knew that Donalds was a threat, why didn’t he put him on ice in Rubio’s Senate seat?

Ooof. Parroting Eric John Barron.

Yikes.

Who are these “bots” that said Ron would be doing better than Trump right now? You didn’t discern that from your troll thread that was anchored.

I think Trump is doing pretty darn good.

The “shot” at Donald’s that I heard was for him to get to work supporting Trumps agenda.

Would be interested in hearing from FL people who aren't obsessed with the Trump-DeSantis feud on both Casey and Donalds.

My impression from FL friends (who like both DeSantis and Trump and like most people have no real interest any real or imagined dispute) seem to indicate that neither is a meaningful public-facing factor at this point.

The AP had a quote along the lines of "Byron hasn't really been a factor in any of our wins"

I had such high hopes for DeSantis after Trump. I understand supporting your wife, but they're essentially sinking both of their own ships.

Slide the video to 11:00 ish if you want to skip all of the DOGE stuff.

DeSantis indeed goes on about Byron.

I agree

Also amusing that after all the wild claims about DeSantis over the months that end up being false or misleading, etc, he takes a rather direct shot and nobody puts the actual remark on the front page

We’re about to see an all-time fumbling of the political bag by Desantis.

It’s not a thing among my Florida group of friends. The only place I see Desantis hate is here and of course Eric bring lots of x Desantis haters. They are all fringe IMO.

I just don’t want it to be Simpson and if turns into a stupid war again he could slither in.

I hate to give them any attention, because they are insane, but Roger and Displaced are two of them. They love RD, but hate Trump.

Hell, I made a comment in one thread that the Deep State hates Trump because they basically can't control him. DB's incredibly stupid response was, "They already have him (Trump)."

Can you imagine that? They tried to impeach Trump twice, they raided his home, they indicted him in 4 states, and tried to kill him in Butler, Pennsylvania. Yet, the Deep State OWNS President Trump? Lord have mercy....

Yet, you guys turned a blind eye when DeSantis announced for President. Literally Ron's first move was to cozy up to Jeb Bush and the dirty Bush family cabal.

America doesn't need Bush 3.0.
