I still like him a lot but if he pushes or even endorses his wife for governor his career is over

What a cuck move that would be

I mean historically it was a pretty alpha move and has been attempted multiple times especially in the South

But yeah, I don't know if this is the same thing

You being historically illiterate about state governance isn't a shock to me

There are articles that DeSantis and Byron Donald's friendship went bad when Byron failed to endorse DeSantis over Trump

I think it was when Donalds started the CRT bullshite on Florida’s curriculum.

Where was DeSantis when they raided Trumps home in Fla and dug through Melania's underwear?

quote:

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis criticized the FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago at a rally in Arizona, asserting that federal law enforcement agencies are being “weaponized” against political enemies. Stumping for Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, DeSantis accused the department of having gone “totally off the rails” with its raid of former President Donald Trump’s Florida home. “These agencies have now been weaponized to be used against people that the government doesn’t like,” DeSantis said. “And you look at the raid at Mar-a-Lago.”

Doesn't matter who said/says it, you're all losers. The obsession over Ronny D and his wife, from both sides...the pro- and the anti-, is hysterical to watch from the mountaintop.

I'll give Ronny D this, he did what Scalise never had the courage to do...run and win the Governorship.

That being said, the FL Gov race has and always will be a circus sideshow.

DeSantis will lose a lot of credibility if he does this, but so far the RDS crew is about 0 for 30 on this type of swipe.

Did you sleep thru his disastrous presidential campaign? He made multiple mistakes that only served to prove that he wasn't ready for the biggest stage.

I defy anybody to disagree that he should've waited until 2028. And obtw, I was saying this when he first announced.

Just some of his errors:

1) He betrayed Trump. Not only was 2024 clearly Trump's time to run again, but RD would've never even been elected Governor if Trump hadn't endorsed him.

2) In an interview during his unsuccessful presidential campaign, DeSantis said in an interview (maybe 60 Minutes?), "If I'm elected President, I will probably pardon Trump like Ford pardoned Nixon." Are you freaking kidding me? The obvious and truthful answer to that question should have been, "These charges against Trump have been falsely brought by Biden's DOJ, and I stand in 100% suppirt of President Trump against these insanely bogus charges."

I wasn't able to post at the time RD said this, but this board should've totally roasted RD over the coals for throwing Trump under the bus like that.

3) I already mentioned the fact that he aligned himself with the filthy Bush family and some questionable donors.

And now RD is willing to throw a long-time supporter of his, Byron Donalds, under the bus for having the gall to run for Governor while sitting in Congress? The SAME EXACT THING that RD did himself? Really bad look.

Obtw, my best guess is that hubby and wife will get enough negative feedback on this that she may never even formally anounce her candidacy. That trial balloon will probably burst in mid-air.

PS - And I'm somebody who actuality liked Ron DeSantis. Not my fault that he's screwed the pooch twice now.

Where ya at, Rebel? Like I said, they're not bashful. Nearly word-for-word.

You don't think DeSantis made it clear what he thought of the raid and subsequent indictments?

Yeah, you mentioned it but then so have many others that also couldn't establish it as fact.

Didn't Donalds play the race/CRT card on DeSantis during the primary?

All of those are made up in your head. See my previous post about you. You’re mildly (and amusingly) insane.

Byron burned that bridge with his CRT bullshite

We have an issue here with a Canadian weed company buying up GOP pols. Some of those people like Joe Gruters are fans of Byron which doesn't give me much confidence he'll push back against them

Yes, after pretending to be against it.
