You are correct. Local governments need to enforce the laws that are already on the books.

In the wake of a lot of cities not enforcing the law, this anti-riot bill is refreshing.. even if it rehashes shite that is already illegal. It's sad that things have gotten so bad that a virtue signal about actually enforcing the law, is an amazing piece of news.

..and to think Florida barely elected him versus the democrat he was running against who was caught with a gay male escort all fricked up on meth in a Miami hotel room.

FL has a great governor in DeSantis. I will donate heavily toward a Presidential run.

uh, should be already

you can drive thru them ? really?

no one wants to get hurt but the mob needs to understand the new rules..

I bet they don't do it in Florida...

Desantis should say as well

"Killings in another state of which have no connection to you at all here in Florida, there is no reason or purpose for you to start tearing up our cities over what happened elsewhere...so know right here and now, there will not be any kind of summer of love with that riot and looting BS....behave like respecting citizens and we won't have a problem...act like an idiot, you get to do the time, questions"

When is Edwards’ term over?

Will Louisiana elect a Republican next time around?

Next election is October 2023 and JBE leaves office January 2024.

They should with JBE out of the way but never ever underestimate the shallowness and pettiness of Louisiana republicans to be pissed their preferred candidate didn't make the runoff and stay home or actually vote for the democrat.

For two cycles in a row, we have had titty baby "republicans" who refused to accept defeat and look at the bigger picture and make a pragmatic decision and support David Vitter and Eddie Rispone.

Why not battery on any other citizen? Why stipulate police officers? We've seen these protests where people are being attacked and the police just watch and stay out of it to not incite further violence.

There has been talk of expanding the stand your ground laws in Florida to include looters.

Jindal chose to listen to bad advice from hack consultants and be an absentee deadbeat Governor in his 2nd term, pandering like a clown out of state and letting Louisiana's economy and fiscal situation devolve into a disaster.

He spent so much time running for President that you could be forgiven for mistaking him as the Governor of Iowa, not Louisiana.

Jindal also refused to be a team player and did everything he could to defeat the GOP front runner for Governor, David Vitter, even if it meant letting the democrat John Bel Edwards win.

He had so much promise in him and he turned out to be nothing more than a petty hack that abandoned Louisiana and sent Louisiana conservatives up shite creek with JBE just to settle a score with Vitter.

frick Jindal.
