If Ron takes that establishment necon money to run his campaign, they’ll allow him to be elected. If he doesn’t deliver for them, he won’t be re-elected.

This crying about Trump being a meanie is akin to sky screaming about his mean Tweets. Grow a pair, pussies. Political campaigns get savage. As soon as Ron announced he’s running, you’ll see him shift and playing the game. Trump has already announced and Ron is his most formidable opponent. Of course he’s going after him. You guys just hate Trump. If it was Ron going after him, and he will be soon, you’d be cheering it on and you know it. So, STFU.

How’s DeSantis gonna’ win when half of Trump supporters stay home and don’t vote for him?

If Ron can't handle a little political badgering or criticism from Trump he's not the candidate that we think he is.

Kinda sounds like he did handle it…like a grown up. I’m sure the only trump cult on here would’ve preferred him throw some petty insults.

Exactly, Trump will take him down with him if he does that.

Yup. I think staying above the fray will play very well with the voters.

Never lost a General Election for President, unlike a certain loser.

But, he did give amnesty to 6 million illegals and expanded the EIC.

That's shite that a lowlife Democrat would do.

Slick Willie was more conservative than Reagan.

John Fredericks, who was Trump's Chairman in Virginia in 2016 and 2020 and who is regularly on with Bannon, believes that right now DeSantis has a 30% chance of winning the primary. And that's before he has even declared. He has been warning the Trumpers that every time Trump puts out nonsense more and more people are leaving him for DeSantis. Fredericks does MAGA bus tours in numerous states and talks to regular voters on the ground. He has been ringing the alarm bells saying he keeps talking to people who say they're going to flip to DeSantis. The reasons are they're tired of losing - they view DeSantis as a winner and Trump as a loser, and they're tired of Trump's nonsense.

You should def post this again in this thread.

Also, he does terrible with white suburban women. These are not issues DeSantis would have.

DeSantis isn’t going to own the white suburban woman vote. Are you high?

He doesn't have to own it. He has to do just marginally better than Trump. Which wont be hard.

The loser you're deepthroating not only lost to a guy who has dementia, he cost us the Senate during the GA runoffs by parading 2 nutjobs around the state who told GOP voters to boycott, which helped hand both seats over to the Dems. That's treasonous stuff, sabotaging your own party and helping the Dems.

Over 5.5 million voters in both 2016 and 2020 voted for at least 1 down-ballot Republican but didn't vote for Trump. I've spent the last 2+ years looking over the data in both elections from every county and precinct. Most of these 5.5+ million voters live in suburban counties. They are not natural allies of the Democratic coalition. They are Republican and Independents (who historically vote Republican) that don't like Trump and will never vote for him. Yet, they voted for down-ballot Republicans that are far more conservative than Trump that they couldn't pick out of a lineup.

Trump consistently underperformed other Republicans in suburban counties, including in states he won. For example, in TX there were over 330K people who voted for at least 1 down-ballot R but not Trump. In just the 10 largest counties alone, John Cornyn received 100K more votes than Trump did...and they were on the same ballot. In the 4 big counties in and around Atlanta, Trump consistently underperformed other Republicans. In 2016, Johnny Isakson received over 77K more votes than Trump did in those 4 counties.

There's a reason why in both elections, the GOP lost very few U.S. House Seats, maintained at least 50 U.S. Senate seats, and maintained and added state legislatures and governorships, meanwhile Trump went 0/2 in the Popular Vote and 1/2 in the Electoral College. Trump alienates suburban voters, particularly women and Independents that typically vote Republican. The reason why Youngkin won was because suburban wine and soccer moms in NOVA and around Richmond and Hampton Roads voted for him. These same people HATED Trump and didn't vote for him in 2016 and 2020. DeSantis doesn't alienate these voters.
